Personality types, what's yours?
So some people describe their personalities as type A/B. But I think the Myers-Briggs and ipersonic are better indicators of the specifics of your personality type.

There is two groups - Introvert and Extravert

There is 8 different personality types for each group totaling 16.

From [link to www.personalitypage.com]

Our Flow of Energy defines how we receive the essential part of our stimulation. Do we receive it from within ourselves (Introverted) or from external sources (Extraverted)? Is our dominant function focused externally or internally?

The topic of how we Take in Information deals with our preferred method of taking in and absorbing information. Do we trust our five senses (Sensing) to take in information, or do we rely on our instincts (iNtuitive)?

The third type of preference, how we prefer to Make Decisions, refers to whether we are prone to decide things based on logic and objective consideration (Thinking), or based on our personal, subjective value systems (Feeling).

These first three preferences were the basis of Jung's theory of Personalty Types. Isabel Briggs Myers developed the theory of the fourth preference, which is concerned with how we deal with the external world on a Day-to-day Basis. Are we organized and purposeful, and more comfortable with scheduled, structured environments (Judging), or are we flexible and diverse, and more comfortable with open, casual environments (Perceiving)? From a theoretical perspective, we know that if our highest Extraverted function is a Decision Making function, we prefer Judging. If our highest Extraverted function is an Information Gathering function, we prefer Perceiving.
 Quoting: [link to www.personalitypage.com]

So the way it works is basically there's 8 letters, but your personality type will have 4 of them perfectly explaining you. For example - ENFP - an Extravert with intuition, and a strong lean on their emotional side (F) and ultimately is someone who perceives the external and doesn't judge it. Each of the letters below in couples are opposite of each other (I/E - iN/S) and you cannot have both, the opposite temperaments are still part of you but weaker.

I - Introvert
E - Extravert
iN - Intuitive
S - Sensing
T - Thinking
F - Feeling
P - Perceiving
J - Judging

Check out ipersonics...
[link to www.ipersonic.com]

Don't be fooled by the apparent "easiness" of the test which might make it seem unprofessional but in my OPINION it's extremely accurate.

As for myself, I'm an INTP. Which is the rarest of the introvert personalities and only 1% of male introverts. Here's an excerpt from finishing ipersonics:

Analytical Thinkers like you are reserved, quiet persons. You like to get to the bottom of things - curiosity is one of your strongest motives. You want to know what holds the world together deep down inside. You do not really need much more to be happy because you are a modest person. Many mathematicians, philosophers and scientists belong to your type. Analytical Thinkers loathe contradictions and illogicalness; with your sharp intellect, you quickly and comprehensively grasp patterns, principles and structures. You are particularly interested in the fundamental nature of things and theoretical findings; for you, it is not necessarily a question of translating these into practical acts or in sharing your considerations with others. Analytical Thinkers like to work alone; your ability to concentrate is more marked than that of all other personality types. You are open for and interested in new information.

Re: Personality types, what's yours?
Your iPersonic Type: The Spontaneous Idealist

Spontaneous Idealists like you are creative, lively and open-minded persons. You are humorous and dispose of a contagious zest for life. Your enthusiasm and sparkling energy inspires others and sweeps them along. You enjoy being together with other people and often have an uncanny intuition for their motivations and potential. Spontaneous Idealists are masters of communication and very amusing and gifted entertainers. Fun and variety are guaranteed when you are around. However, you are sometimes somewhat too impulsive in dealing with others and can hurt people without really meaning to do so, due to your direct and sometimes critical nature.

You are a keen and alert observer; you miss nothing which is going on around you. In extreme cases, you tend to be oversensitive and exaggeratedly alert and you are inwardly always ready to jump. Life for you is an exciting drama full of emotionality. However, you quickly become bored when things repeat themselves and too much detailed work and care is required. Your creativity, your imaginativeness and your originality become most noticeable when developing new projects and ideas - you then leave the meticulous implementation of the whole to others. On the whole, Spontaneous Idealists attach great value to their inner and outward independence and do not like accepting a subordinate role. You therefore have problems with hierarchies and authorities.

As a Spontaneous Idealist you are one of the extroverted personality types. You enjoy working in a colorfully diverse group of people who interest and inspire you. Working in a “secluded room” is not your thing. Your sense for the motivation of others is almost eerie. You constantly observe that which happens around you and have no problems noticing all sorts of things simultaneously or communicating with several people at the same time.

Your enthusiasm is contagious to others and that is why your colleagues and friends all appreciate you as an important member of your team. Your articulateness and your sensitive ear for nuances in conversations with others obviously play a role. For you, this team-oriented environment is very important because you need to receive positive feedback and recognition like other people need air to breathe. It would be practically impossible for you to contribute everything you need to maintain your high ideals, by yourself.

Variety, challenges and fun are important ingredients of your area of responsibility. You appreciate receiving new stimulation, meeting new people, and continuously collecting unique experiences. However, too much routine, too much detail work and the necessity to stick with one project for a very long time is not your thing. Your strength are creative problem solutions, discovering new ways and opportunities, the conceptualization of new ideas on one hand, but not so much their concrete implementation on the other. Ideally, you have a staff of capable colleagues that takes over your concepts and runs with them.

I know sounding like a smartass is hip, trendy, and cool. I provided links and if you bothered you could do extra research. Has nothing to do with your paranoid allegation.

Sometimes the remedy for paranoia is more paranoia, so I'm here to analyze all of your personality types and send my research one of the 13 bloodlines so that they can properly sort you out on mars when the ships come to take us all.

Lots of introverts here :)

Btw I posted this because some people can't understand their own personality, and if they do they might not be able to explain themselves as best they can.

If I tell someone I'm an INTP and they know what the letters mean then in my opinion they can understand me a lot better and vice-versa. Doesn't mean they know your interests and you inside out but at least the message would be clear: I'm an introvert who relies on his intuition, I live mostly inside my head and I make choices based on perception, not judgement.

Yea there's a forum for all 16 types. I can't find the source but introverts make up about 25% of the population = 1.75 billion introverts. Out of that you divide the the males and females. Females are approx 9% (157,500,000) and males approx 1.5% (26,250,000 male INTP's in the world).

I'm in Canada, population 35,000,000 which is about 130,000 INTP's. I feel like I'm by myself up here lol

I agree that in most demographics INTJ is more rare than INTP. Mostly because of the j/p sometimes being close to 50/50. For me it's around 85% P but I've been trying to increase the J. Your iPersonic Type: The Energetic Doer

Energetic Doers like you are cheerful and spontaneous persons. You are charming and full of energy and a real person of action. You keep a clear head and the overview even in difficult situations. This makes you a popular problem solver. Your ability of being able to absorb and process information is phenomenal. Energetic Doers also have strong powers of observation and a keen sense when dealing with other people. You are very perceptive, witty and clever. You have a natural ability of convincing others of your point of view. You live completely in the here and now and make spontaneous decisions from one moment to the next. You love being together with other people and are a sensuous, lively and amusing conversationalist. It is no problem for you to be the effervescent centre of attention at a party and you are generous, skilful and a good host. You do not brood over consequences for long; you quickly grasp all the relevant facts, make a pragmatic decision and enforce that decision vigorously. Should a decision later turn out to have been wrong, one can always make new plans.

I used to have that mentality as well, for me I figured more knowledge > you. But I grew out of it, where now I understand that both sides can learn something. We can talk to the extraverts on social issues and how to deal with them, and they can come to us when they need things like academic guidance and multiple perspectives. It can be a win win situation.

I was usually the life of a party but it was mostly me doing stupid shit to attract people. As for small talk, I ALWAYS said the wrong thing. I'd think about what to say and it never came out right and then get the looks/silence for a few seconds.

Also Short bio part two,

I'd say my life will be fucked up too, but from the "norm" perspective. We just have to take control of our situations and make them work for us, not the other way around because this just causes self inflicted emotional pain. I used to have all sorts of ideas on a career, because I had heard the mantra you can go into any field you want. And you can but for my personality I've been leaning towards a researcher or analyst, something with leeway on solitary occupations.

But aside from that I will not have what most call an ordinary life, and I've accepted that. The more you resist who you are the more you'll get pulled in.
