Re: How do groceries get so much perfect food?
I just got back from a road trip and wondered how all the groceries, restaurants, and other food sellers in the US get so much "perfect" looking food - how can there be so many perfect tomatoes in every store, enough to feed the entire US population and even more than enough because so much is wasted?

Is it because this food is not real? Think about it -- new fruits and vegetables are delivered constantly - how can there by that many being grown to fill all these grocery stores? It must be a fake. It's not like that in most other countries. So I conclude the US is not real, we are in a matrix, if you will, and the food is a fake based on past memories, and that's why it has no taste or if it does have taste, it's got plenty of MSG and "natural flavorings" --

And why is all the food unblemished? When you grow things in a garden, they have lots of bad parts, and they don't look like a magazine picture, the way the fruits and vegetables look at the grocery store, all shiny and perfect.

I remember when I was a kid, we'd get corn on the cob and there would usually be lots of bad places in it, or bugs inside. Now, every ear is perfect, no bugs, and the silk just comes right off. Same with potatoes. We'd even get potato chips that had bad places on them, green spots. Now, every chip is perfect. What's up with all this?

Very true. Good observation. Reality... does not make sense.
It's a matrix. The food amount at my local Walmart alone, that is stocked in a 2 week span, could feed and entire 3rd world country for 1 year easily. Delivery trucks are minimal at best. Where does all that food come from exactly?

And don't even get me started on the amount that goes to waste and expires. As nearly 1/3 of the planet straves or lives in poverty.

Your thread is INDEED... FOOD FOR THOUGHT.

Or is it... Food made by thought... via the matrix.

Realty is not real. Funny huh?

Uhm, no.

Monsanto and other factory farms are unfortunately very, VERY, real.

The "food" they make in such vast quantities...well it's not so real... it really exists, but it's not really food. :(
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15510048

Then your saying...that they are currently in the process of making food fake and a matrix reality of "artifical" replacing "organic"?

Same thing...just you are saying this is the inception of the concept that will evolve into a "virtual" reality world of everything being genetically and/or digitally created and enhanced and passed as real. Same thing really...just different stages. We who see through the matrix and are "awake" are just way ahead of the game.

So if the Perfect food we are eating from the grocery store is from the matrix then wouldn't the food you would be growing be from the matrix a well? isn't everything the matrix or just the stuff you want to believe the matrix? or maybe the food you ate when you where a kid that had all the imperfections in it was a matrix computer glich and they fixed the code so now our matrix food looks good but lost some flavor. Maybe you should go buy some vegatable seeds and grow a garden and if the vegatables and fruits come out alot nicer looking than what the did back in the day. Then maybe you have fixed code matrix veggies and fruits.I personally would rather have not so perfect looking fruits & veggies that are full of flavor than perfect ones that taste bland. Maybe the matrix techs should change the code back.

More realistically OP should do tours of the entire supply chain of where his food comes from.

That would actually be easier than you think, but would take work, and isn't nearly as easy as making up some crazy shit to explain why things get to the store and don't look like they come from a garden.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15506959

OP Might consider living in a far away place where all food is shipped in - Not So Pretty! The Matrix must end somewhere in the states...

So true, and restaurants do it too, not just food too ugly, but food supposedly too old but not really. We could feed the world with all we toss away on a daily basis. So sad.
No one is perfect. A babe before walking will first stumble and fall many times but NEVER gives up until he succeeds.

Always remember, ultimately, to never follow any person's belief. Your relationship with God is between you and God.

If nothing else, remember this: religion = subservience, control and conformity, the same template as EVERY government

"Most believers would kill truth if truth threatened their religion." L. K. Washburn

"This crime called blasphemy was invented by priests for the purpose of defending doctrines not able to take care of themselves." Robert Ingersoll

"If anyone wants to know how God feels, it's a warm light as if the sun is poking through dark clouds and lifting your spirits with pure joy."

Re: How do groceries get so much perfect food?
I don't about the other 5 pages worth of answers but I do know that in my local grocery stores our fruits and veggies are not all that pretty.

We have many organic farmers in the area and they have contracts to sell their really beautiful and tasty tomatoes (as just one example) to US buyers; we get the leftovers.

Their secret? Knowing what they can and cannot grow in the area, good soil conditions and knowing when to amend it and with what ... plus companion planting.

I do the same thing at home. I can grow perfect tomatoes. Pretty sure a farmer can too.

Of course many farms all over the world use genetically engineered seeds to grow disease resistant plants and way too many chemicals. I wish I remembered what was on the box I had from Costco. It was a shipping box for grapes that said the grapes may have been washed with one chemical to wash away a fungicide.

Actually, some of you are getting a bit off topic... not so much about the quality of the food in my opinion... but the quantity.

Think about how much food is consumed/delivered/sold/thrown out, etc... on a weekly basis... locally.

Then consider how that compares with actual food production sources/warehouses... and then factor in the overall lack of food worldwide.

Something clearly does not add up.

Similar to money... the top 1% have most and the rest don't.
Food is over abundent, especially here in The USA, while 1/3 of the world, lives in famine and poverty.

Again... what my local supermarkets... THROW AWAY weekly could feed entire countries. It does not make sense on many levels.

Re: How do groceries get so much perfect food?
Try this little experiment...buy a couple of tomatoes and bananas. Let them sit on your kitchen counter for a couple of weeks. You will notice something that should disturb you (at least it did me)...THEY DO NOT ROT! I have noticed the same with bread as well. It can sit there for weeks and not grow mold. But I will bake a homemade loaf and there is hair on it within days.

I think you are right, OP. Perfect food is TOO perfect. Not even the flies will land on them!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 14154818

you're ignorant, bananas actually go bad faster now and have bad taste compared to what was in the 80s- it's because certain varieties that were popular then got a disease and were made extinct- the ones used today are in the same process of dying out..too many grown= bad for reproduction and something that kills them gains too strong a hold..this goes for any and all things on this earth..there will be a killing off of everything- bees, humans, w/e it don't matter!

Heres another Matrix breaker theory to test out.

Cemetaries are not large enough to hold all the people that should be dying daily. Count your citys population, Count the cities obituaries, take off the percentage of cremations. Count the number of cemetaries in your city and take off those numbers who are shipped elsewhere to be buried somewhere else.

Go walk the tombstones and read the dates, it should be new ones daily. The number of new graves should be added everyday. I estimate a cemetaries size should be a much more larger specific size if you counted back to 1800s.

Its just a guess, Im not serious, but its a project to do for fun if anyone was up to it.

My cities two cemetaries are way too tiny, People are missing, something is up.
 Quoting: ABADDON - APOLLYON .

That post gave me goosebumps,me an my real life conspiracy frieds recently had the same discussion about cemetaries, mass awakenings are great things

This world is one of duality. So if one seeks out the creator of this world and the evidences left in it...one might notice all these counterfeit or similar things that hide the real things... like fake agencies, giving fake standards, so fake food can come to your neighborhood, with the help of fake laws made by fake establishment people. Haven't you noticed nothing is real anymore because the people bought the fake stuff and wonder why they have problems they are having, like fake terror. Of course it all appears initiated as real life, but it is fake you are sold on and buy up. So real is hard to find.

actually thanks to Obama's regulations that are killing the pork industry, milk industry and the stupid ass ethanol stealing our corn away from our cattle and out of our own mouths and into the gas tank, that's not true. We could become UNSUPPLIED food wise in a very short time.

We - the UNITED STATES have contributed more to feeding third world countries than any other country in history. (Just a fact for those constantly bashing the United States.) The fact is, most third world countries are run by Tyrants and Communists and the food never gets to the people.

Have you looked at the "Country of Origin" stickers on your food? Most of them do NOT say "United States of America."

So I was imagining seeing the words "fake food", "US is not real" and "matrix" in the original post? Yeah, tell us... this topic is about produce quality and it's shelf life... not the fact that we are living in a matrix and the sheeple fight to protect the very system that enslaves them.... by denying the truth and attacking any who dare to speak it.

You are all simply artifical A.I. drones. In a virtual world. Sheep. Ants. Non existent. Not important. Of course your little minds would want to deny this fact and refuse to process it. It goes against your program. Part of your function is to "pretend" you are real. Much like characters in a video game. You SERVE a purpose. Background. Filler.

It's actually very amusing if you happen to be the ONE.

I'm not saying that it isn't possible... but...

one of your main points seems to be the lack of delivery capabilities. given your 'food replicator' theory, or whatever it is which you would like to call it, how would the food make it to the places for sale? doesn't it still have to be delivered? or are you suggesting that the stores themselves are creating the food onsite? if this is the case, wouldn't too many people be aware of the procedure?

We had preservatives back in the 70's as well, and I remember having cans of spaghetti sauce grow mold in a short time. Nowadays it stays perfect forever, no mold.

Lots of food is GMO but even the so-called organic food is too pretty to be real. And there can't possibly be enough of it being grown to keep replenishing it constantly! We'd need a zillion trucks to deliver it if it in fact did exist.
 Quoting: Eggifer

Ive driven at all hours of the night, and never noticed the amount of delivery trucks that would be required to replenish supply. If this was true. Youd have bumper to bumper delivery trucks clogging up the road . and yes, esp the night hours when everyones asleep. But I have not seen this.

Take into account the millions of restaurants too. I have a friend that worked at a restaurant and he only mentioned a flour delivery truck that would arrive every night, I didnt ask him about the produce.

Still the lack of traffic does not justify the millions of pounds of food each city needs and multiply that by hundreds of thousands of towns and cities.

Many will think Im crazy, but I know what I saw about the portal, and I know the truth . Maybe most food is delivered via them portals.
 Quoting: ABADDON - APOLLYON .

LoL....my husbands owned a restaurant, and I've worked at a grocery store. Most of the trucks come at night to large stores. Matter of fact my ex delivered for frito lay, and was turned away if he wasn't there by 8a.m.
Walmart and grocers have overnight stocking crews. Sme aren't done by the times shop, and getting around those palettes full of boxes are certainly not in my imagination! They're friggin real and in my way!

I have seen a space portal open up in the sky and a military caravan escorting a ship thru the portal and it closed up.

Confirmation that you are indeed, a mental case.

I know those in Military and NASA. Do you? Portals aside, the UFOs are ours thru project paperclip (google and read about it) , and we already have cloaking technology. Thats a fact.

Every major city and town needs tons of food daily. I still dont see the number of required delivery trucks that would be required of this magnitude.

Im just a crazy guy that wants to break free from the matrix, lol
 Quoting: ABADDON - APOLLYON .

That's because you are asleep when trucks deliver pallets of food to the grocery stores.. Each store gets up to four warehouse deliveries a night (give or take)... Dairy, produce, and regular grocery.. Think how many stores are in your city.. No traffic on the roads late at night.... Not rocket science here...
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 5682902

Nope, I worked nights at a restaurant till 3 am, and Ive been on the road at all nights from 1-5 am in the morning.

Delivery trucks come at night, yes, But Im saying, my point is, it isnt enough. It isnt enough to justify

Were just brainstorming here,

I know stuff in the military (secrets) that 99 percent of the public does not know.

Ive had friends in NASA that told me stuff that would make you pee your pants and blow your mind

Im just certain theres a food conspiracy and Im trying to figure it out.
 Quoting: ABADDON - APOLLYON .

You say there are not enough delivery trucks. If that is so how do all the restaurants and franchises like subway and grocery stores get the product? It has to be trucked in. The suggestion that there are not enough delivery trucks does not make sense. There would have to be enough delivery trucks to get the product to the stores or the stores would go out of business.

There are many food distribution centers, such as Sysco, Us Foods, and so on. Businesses such as Sysco have thousands of trucks delivering food all over the country. Sysco for example has many distribution centers all over the US, with trucks just waiting to be loaded with product being brought in from the over the road truck driver.

Wal-Mart has many distribution centers with trucks waiting to be loaded with product that is brought in by the OTR driver. The same is true for most grocery stores you go to, they all have distribution centers.

There is really no conspiracy here, what it is, is a lot of hard work that makes this all happen. The logistics alone to make this all happen is a huge amount of work and that's only a small part of it.

Also the food growing regions of our county is vast, we have plenty and I mean plenty of room to grow what we need to.

As far as the food looking good when it is at a store is due to improving tech. Such as the reefers the trucks are running do a very good job in keeping the product in great shape during transit.
 Quoting: Ryan Cawdor

That is all still used, I used to work for YUM foods Corp. you understood nothing I said earlier

But its unnecessary, You honestly need to go into the future like NASA announced to the public.

They are using technology never released to the public, Im not a idiot, I grew up Military, There are secrets never released.

It's not fake. It's still food but now it's 'engineered' food. Did you read that article where they say Apples in average grocery stores are about a year old on average? That's why if you insist on local, chances are you will get 'slightly' fresher food. This trend of every produce being available throughout the year is what's driving it. What's wrong with enjoying fruits 1-2 months during the year when they are available fresh and use frozen version rest of the year? Do people really think apples and carrots grow everyday of the year?

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15089867

people are not missing, sounds crazy but i think a lot of what we call "people" are simply not people = humans.

how many wars, destruction etc happened? a lot!

the earth is not overpopulated, it's a big lie, in fact it's part of the trap so we will agree to stop reproducing, meaning going against nature and commiting suicide for our specie.

a lot of humans were already killed, the last survivors are the more dangerous ones for sure and we are here for a very good reason: kick them all of our planet.

theatre of shadows, empty shells, we don't see for the moment what is the real reality but life is not supposed to be like this, this is beyond strange and no this mess didn't started recently.
