Most people these days couldn't dig a hole and take a shit in it and know to cover it up. They have no idea what to do without modern conveniences and have no extra food in their cupboards.

Those of us who grew up poor will survive better than those who did not, we know how to stretch food and other items to make them last longer. We also know the difference between actual need and want.

Protecting it is another matter. But if you're old school, you'll know more about that, too.

Learn something, do something for yourself.

Even a job loss can be a catastrophe if you have no food to feed your family. My husband almost lost his job last October and we were very thankful that we had prepared with food and other comfort items. Luckily we didn't have to use them... YET.

The shit has hit the fan for many people already.
