What this article neglects to mention is that it may be a scenario the preppers didn't prep for that happens.
What if an asteroid hits and wipes out all of your prepped stock?
Or an ice age comes and freezes everything?
How about all the criminals who know you stocked up and want to take what you have?
Eventually you will be out of stock then what?
I'm not saying prepping isn't a good idea but you cannot prep for everything that could go wrong.
Considering the government has already passed the bill to confiscate your stock how long do you think you'll be able to keep it?
Personally I hope that whatever happens hits us so quick that we never felt it coming. Quoting: Awake but dreaming ^^that would be sweet. or how about all the preppers who have bragged about all their preps/skills on boards like these... the only thing you have to prep is your mind. you can stock as much preps as you want, does you no good if they get stolen or you can't get to them. in the end, how you lived your life before whatever catastrophy befalls us will determine your survival success. And surviving might not actually be the 'success'... If you are living a life that is honorable and you have no hate in your heart, you've already succeeded... no need to fear the reaper.
