I've never heard of surviving on rice & tomato juice. The problem with that is that you need complete proteins to survive, and neither rice nor tomato juice have many proteins. And those few they do have are not complete.

They will have to be complimented with other proteins to create sustainable foods, such as meats, eggs, nuts, milk, beans, etc.
