Anonymous Coward User ID: 971782 Canada 05/23/2012 02:11 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | John Adams wrote, “Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passion, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence.” Dispelling the ubiquitous disinformation that Barack Obama is a Muslim are some stubborn facts: that wealthy jewish people played a major role in Obama’s rise to power; that Obama’s grandfather was related to U.S. presidents known to be Jewish; that the cousin of Michelle Robinson Obama is an Ethiopian Jewish Rabbi; that the Obama administration is predominantly controlled by jewish people (“Swindlers List: Obama’s Zionist jewish people in Power”); that 78% of U.S. jewish people voted for Barack Obama, who was then hailed by the Israeli Haaretz News as the ‘first Jewish president.’” “Some Chicago jewish people say Obama is actually the ‘first Jewish president’” “...in the Chicago Jewish community many people really are long-time friends of the president-elect. Some of the older people in the community say that they ‘raised him,’ while others half-jokingly call Obama ‘the first Jewish president.’ “They raised contributions for him, provided him with contacts, and also enjoyed hosting him and believed in his glorious future in politics. During most of the campaign, when rumors were spreading among American jewish people that Obama was a closet Muslim who was more supportive of the Palestinians and was interested in granting the president of Iran legitimacy, his support among American jewish people did not even come close to that enjoyed by Bill Clinton. But at the moment of truth, according to the exit polls, it turns out that 78 percent of jewish people voted for Obama... “...Obama lives near the synagogue in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago, an area with quite a large Jewish population... Solow used to live in Obama’s neighborhood, and says that Obama has always had ‘excellent relations with the Jewish community’... As a local senator, he was very effective and helpful in what we call ‘the Jewish agenda,’ the community issues, values. He has always had a deep understanding of Israel’s need for security. I went with him to Israel for a week in January 2006, and when he started the race for the presidency I had no doubt I'd support him... ‘I said with a smile that he will be the first Jewish president. He also has a deep understanding of issues that confront Israel and the Jewish community.’” (“The Jewish World,” Haaretz News, 13/11/2008) The Congressional Research Service reported in December, 2009: “Israel is the largest cumulative recipient of U.S. foreign assistance since World War II. From1976-2004, Israel was the largest annual recipient of U.S. foreign assistance, having been supplanted by Iraq. Since 1985, the United States has provided nearly $3 billion in grants annually to Israel.” (U.S. Foreign Aid to Israel) According to John Pilger, world-renowned investigative reporter and documentary filmmaker, “On 11 December, President Obama announced $2.75 billion ‘aid’ for Israel, a down payment on the $30 billion American taxpayers will gift from their stricken economy during this decade.” (“For Israel, a reckoning”) |
