The mining uptick has been incredible for many. I recall someone bought a uranium mine in Northern Territory for 50k and sold it a few years later for 20 mil. We now have mining billionaires carrying on like lotto winners. We had Nathan Tinkler, sold his house to buy a coal deposit in a syndicate with some Hong Kong money. Four years later, he's a billionaire, and that's after paying for a fortune in cars and horses. Another new billionaire, Clive Palmer reckons he's sitting on billions in coal and he's gonna rebuild the titanic. They are all buying rugby and soccer teams hand over fist. Fascinating Stuff!

But who could see it coming? Assets had been not moving in value for years, but that's one way to tell! Remember gold was perpetually 250 bucks an ounce in the 90s!?

Yeh lets suspend trading for a 7 year investigation by SEC, by which time any financial insurance of a full payment and return of initial investment no longer exists. However as a pardon, you will be awarded a certificate to formally state that you were fucked over!

Ever hear of the Gordon Growth Model? It is BS because it assumes growth goes on forever, but it was big in the tech bubble of the late 1990's.

This company def. has further growth prospects. How much? Who the fuck knows!?

Any participants in IPOs are definitely accredited investors. IPOs are not supposed to be a guaranteed profit. It makes the market a little better when one loses money, otherwise people will always want to "get in" on them all and be rightly angry if they are shut out. But if the IPO can win or lose, then the little guy is properly shut out as he is shut out of other highly risky investments.

Ok Dragoon so this is ur area, the facebook p/e was 80, or so, with negative guidance at the last minute.

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Morgan Stanley (MS.N) told brokers on Wednesday it is reviewing every Facebook Inc FB.N trade and will make price adjustments for retail customers who paid too much during the social network company’s debut last week, according to an internal memo.
