Police set to use armed drones, groups concerned over arming of domestic drones!! Rubber bullets, tear gas, potentially lethal force!
Police set to use armed drones against Americans

The Federal Aviation Administration has allowed several police departments to use armed drones with non-lethal weapons across the United States.

The U.S. government announced that 30,000 drones would be spying on Americans domestically. CBS DC has now reported that the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office in Texas “is considering using rubber bullets and tear gas on its drone.”

Chief Deputy Randy McDaniel of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office in Texas told The Daily that his department is considering using rubber bullets and tear gas on its drone.

WASHINGTON (CBSDC) – With the use of domestic drones increasing, concern has not just come up over privacy issues, but also over the potential use of lethal force by the unmanned aircraft.

Drones have been used overseas to target and kill high-level terror leaders and are also being used along the U.S.-Mexico border in the battle against illegal immigration. But now, these drones are starting to be used domestically at an increasing rate.

The Federal Aviation Administration has allowed several police departments to use drones across the U.S. They are controlled from a remote location and use infrared sensors and high-resolution cameras.

Chief Deputy Randy McDaniel of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office in Texas told The Daily that his department is considering using rubber bullets and tear gas on its drone.

“Those are things that law enforcement utilizes day in and day out and in certain situations it might be advantageous to have this type of system on the UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle),” McDaniel told The Daily.

The use of potential force from drones has raised the ire of the American Civil Liberties Union.

“It’s simply not appropriate to use any of force, lethal or non-lethal, on a drone,” Catherine Crump, staff attorney for the ACLU, told CBSDC.

Thank you, it will be even more interesting when they replace the rubber bullets with real ones. Wonder who they are planning on using them on???

I guess this will be happening here soon now that we have drones flying around!

Turkey's Attack on Civilians Tied to U.S. Military Drone

ULUDERE, Turkey—After winding along a narrow mountain ridge, a caravan of 38 men and mules paused on the Turkish-Iraqi border. Then they heard the propellers overhead. Minutes later, Turkish military aircraft dropped bombs that killed all but four of the men.

The strike in late December was meant to knock out Kurdish separatist fighters. Instead it killed civilians smuggling gasoline, a tragic blunder in Turkey's nearly three-decade campaign against the guerrillas. The killings ignited protests across the country and prompted wide-ranging official inquiries.

The civilian toll also set off alarms at the Pentagon: It was a U.S. Predator drone that spotted the men and pack animals, officials said, and American officers alerted Turkey.

If I shoot down a drone over my property,
does it belong to me?
How much are they worth (slightly used)on eBay?

That's a good question, because if you do not technically own the airspace it's in, are you within your rights to shoot it down in the first place? And that's if it doesn't shoot you first....

If you feel you are in imminent danger,
you are within your rights to use deadly force.
Self Defense.

I would shoot it down, and am ready, willing, and
quite able to do that.

The question is, how much will it be worth on eBay?

I imagine you'd have to prove you felt the thing was an imminent threat. As far as Ebay goes, who uses Ebay anymore anyway? lol...I'd go for Craigslist

That's pretty odd. Ever hear of the manhackers from Half-life 2? Anyways all is going according to my prediction so far:

The man wasn't dressed like one of the people who frequented this neighborhood... he scurried in the shadows as if he expected to be robbed by one of it's many grungy denizens. Suddenly he stopped with a conspiratorial knock on the door and was asked for a password.

"Rosebud"

As he entered the newly converted speakeasy he walked past a room where the original ET was playing out on a small screen as people crowded around it munching on food.

The next room was showing one of those old Jim Carrey movies, he was such a funny comedian. After a few more rooms he finally came to his. A snack counter was out front. Paying $300 to the cashier he bought a hot soydog with cheese flavoring, a can of soda and even more grandiose he bought french fries. They had actual french fries! Though were they really using potatoes? His father had told him about potatoes but he was never truly sure he tried them. The next bit he had to do very carefully. Palming a $100 he walked over to a man standing by his room and slipped it to him. The man handed him a small baggy of salt. He hoped he didn't get caught using this stuff, it could put him on the No Work List and revoke all of his insurance as a heart attack liability. Fuck it, he would have the salt anyways. Just one sprinkle.

He stepped into the grungy room and found a chair next to the friendliest looking man he could find, a Mexican man who was no doubt untagged. The lights dimmed as a female's voice began to drift through the room... "Remember, Remember the Fifth of November, Gunpowder Treason and Plot..." V for Vendetta, a classic movie about fighting an authoritarian regime. Outlawed due to it's production of homegrown terrorists back in the early 2000's.

Suddenly the power to the entire building died as the United States Communications System loudspeaker crackled to life. "Due to violation of the Terrorism Prevention Act you are hereby declared terrorists by the authority of Homeland Security and are now subject to termination."

Suddenly everyone standing began to drop to the floor one by one as the Government Mandated RFID chips in their hands began to seep a toxin into their systems. The last thing the man did was sprinkle a little salt on his fake French fry and died with it just entering his mouth...

Front page, the next day:

Yeah, i wrote the story above awhile back.

Half-life 2 is a game that has an interesting story about an alien-controlled police state where humans are genetically altered into slaves.

Check out this music video, it pretty much has the "feel" of the game and it's frightening synchronicity with real life:

Rubber bullets, tear gas? Weak sauce! Most Americans would be better armed than the precious drones - not going to happen!

In the end they will come with a couple of railguns, Hellfire rockets and for good measure LRADs that can kill, if desired.

Half-life 1 is from like the late 90's I think. It took place in Black Mesa which is like Area 51. HL2 came out in 2005 I think and it centers around City 17 and Nova Prospekt. One is a FEMA camp and the other is a concentration camp. (Yes, there is a difference in the game.)

It was interesting to me as well. Especially the fact that the combine put up a shield over the Earth that sterilized men and made women infertile and kept them that way.

Most Combine were conditioned/programmed at the "Citadel" to lose their memories and most of their emotions.

Also, the Combine only gave rank privileges to people who voluntarily got themselves conditioned but would allow lower level combine to work for them without conditioning. (However it's revealed that they get forcefully conditioned if they question too much)

Re: Police set to use armed drones, groups concerned over arming of domestic drones!! Rubber bullets, tear gas, potentially lethal force!
Rubber bullets, tear gas? Weak sauce! Most Americans would be better armed than the precious drones - not going to happen!

In the end they will come with a couple of railguns, Hellfire rockets and for good measure LRADs that can kill, if desired.

They're only warming up with the rubber bullets and tear gas...who knows what they'll end up sticking in them.

I could also see them coming with Agent Orange for farmers who dare to grow organic. damned

Um, did I just see something that looked like drones in the game? How long ago did that game come out? It's been so long since I've played computer games, I was never really into stuff like that (I played adventure games but loved Wolfenstein and DOOM long ago lol), but I'm thinking that was late 1990s?

The Manhacks were hovering robots with blades that chased you down to kill you in vents. There were also drones that took your picture and could alternatively blind you.

How long ago did those games come out? I have to wonder what the writers of it are thinking right now...from what you're telling me, all you'd need to do is interchange the aliens with the US government. Wow.

Wow, do you remember what the difference was between a FEMA camp versus a concentration camp?

City 17 which was a representation of a FEMA camp allowed people to live in apartments but the neighborhoods were walled off with many checkpoints. Think "Martial Law" but multiply it times 80.

City 17 was the last city you went to before Nova Prospekt. Everyone there who drank the water seemed drugged.

The Concentration Camp (Nova Prospekt) was a converted prison which housed people with the resistance or those who simply questioned.

There they were converted to Stalkers which were basically mindless drones only capable of simple tasks like pushing buttons.

From there the stalkers/drones were shipped to the Citadel where they manufactured military arms and vehicles or simply had their spinal fluid drained to feed the "overseers".

Wow, interesting. It sounds slightly like the Hunger Games as far as separate cities go, was there any type of elite, ruling class? Or were those just the aliens?

The Overseers were the elite.

Then you had Breen who was the human leader. I guess you could call him a puppet. He was an egotistical, bumbling idiot who was supposed to be the world's leading physicists before the invasion but didn't even know what a gravity gun was.

Very small payload!

If it's close enough to gas/rubber bullet someone, then it's TOO CLOSE!

The US is a BIG country, unlike Germany...just how many drones do you think they have?

Do you know how many cowboys, on horses with bullwhips, does it take to control a large HERD?

FEAR is the ultimate weapon, and WE ARE THE SOURCE!
