Re: As a gay man - I have a question...what's with all the hate?
I started reading GLP about a month or so ago and instantly got hooked! But I have a question - what's with all the hateful, anti-gay posts?

As a gay man, I understand its awkward or even offensive to "shove my gayness in everyone's face." So I don't. In fact, if we met in a public setting, I guarantee, you wouldn't think I was gay. I'm just trying to be happy - just like everyone else.

Am I the only one who feels this way??

I have quite a few gay friends, some of whom are the most talented people I know.

I've never hated gay people, can't figure out whats in the mind of people who do

Primitive thinking, OP. Don't spend too much time trying to understand it

Lots of successful people who couldn't give 2 shits, as long as you're a good person and a good friend

Focus on the good people, not the trolls.

There are a lot of uneducated people who take every word in the Bible as written. They often find condemning someone for sins that they don't happen to commit (yet) is more palatable than condemning something for an act which they themselves are also indulging in. Many of them never heard of or stumbled onto Christ's Great Commandment - the one that Jesus himself told us was the most important commandment of them all. (Do an informal poll here and see how few know what it really was and where it is located.) You'll be shocked at the abysmal level of ignorance among those who "claim" to be Christians.

These are the same people who may be living on welfare in a trailer someplace with two or three kids they cannot feed or cloth properly and who consistently vote for a Republican Candidate because the GOP candidates are ANTI-ABORTION. The poor fools never realize that while they GOP may be anti-abortion, they are pro letting the disabled, poor, and uneducated population starve to death before they'd open the public coffers and allow them to have a decent life. Heaven forbid the GOP should buy one less fighter aircraft or ten less nuclear bombs and that the money saved should be given to help the poor, the disabled, the uninsured. Medical care? If you can afford it - great. Don't expect the GOP to allow you to have it at state or federal cost. Better you should die (in their eyes) than get medical care at the expense of the state.

Anyway you get the idea. There are a lot of single issue voters who every election stick a knife in their own back and they're too stupid to realize it. There are others who are just plain mean-spirited and the idea of "live and let live" never has crossed their minds.

For all the bad and the crap, there is also a lot of good. I've seen people get ten pages of condolence notes when they had to have a beloved pet euthanized rather than letting is suffer a painful death. I've seen people reach out and offer other housing, help of all sorts, food, even jobs! So remember there is a LOT of good among the crazy and evil stuff.

Be who you are and don't hide it. You may get one of the resident homophobes calling you a sissy boy, or a cock-sucker or worse. Don't worry. You'll be amazed at how many will jump to your defense if that should happen. For all the BS contained herein, it's still a damned interesting sight with a lot of very bright and extremely well informed people. I can't tell you how many times they've run the headline the NY Times or Washington Post is going to run - in a day or two. But it was here first. Not once but literally dozens of times. All things considered, I do believe that the good vastly outweighs the bad. It's a darned interesting place to park on the internet. And each visit here you can and probably will learn something, something you never knew a thing about before - and often times enjoy the process of learning, and discovering other points of view, etc., can be amazing in and of itself. Enjoy and know there are hundreds of us here. Some closeted, some not. But you'll meet us as time goes on. You can count on that.

Re: As a gay man - I have a question...what's with all the hate?
Basically, everyone has a choice as they grow up to bang whoever they want. Male, female, trans-gendered, animals, little kids, mattresses with a plastic bag in between them. One can continue to choose what they like, throughout their lives, and some condition themselves to have certain preferences. Others just prefer one or the other. And still, some are born to lean more towards people of the same sex. But in my opinion, everyone is at least 1% bisexual, and just too pussy to admit it.

The people that get overly butthurt about homosexuality are just in denial that any human is capable of these acts, if they choose to be capable. Instead of just ignoring it, they suppress their homo desires, worried they might be "gay," when "gay" is merely a pointless label to appoint someone over personal decisions they can freely make. Put them in a neat little box.

I think the reason in the spike in homosexuality is for two reasons. 1) Women aren't as classy as they once were, thus making homosexuality the more "lazy" and "easy" of the choices and 2) With homosexuality constantly promoted, paraded, and endorsed on TV, half the people are conditioned into being more accepting, and the other half say "Fuck it" and try it. Then some people, that would've tried it in private, are less hesitant in admitting their experimenting because it's becoming more accepted, and they don't have to hide their lustful musings.

In the end, it's all just sex, and a trivial, personal issue. Sex in general is pretty gross, irregardless of gender, when you really think about it. But my oh my, I'd really love some daily pussy to wake up to. If only it didn't require so much god damn effort.

OP, have you ever fucked a woman? If so...what did you think?

nature has her imperfections as well, but its a rarity and is of no importance often.if it was normal and natural then none of us wouldnt exist.
 Quoting: nocty

Umm Nocty the very fact that it occurs makes it NATURAL. You are thinking of 'regular'.... 'Regular' is not the same as NATURAL.

Extinction level events rarely occur.... Does that mean they're unnatural too?
 Quoting: ANHEDONIC

i would understand if u said that about a poisonous mushroom but not when it comes to male and female, its more often a imperfection or a disbalance then pure choice. i am thinking of both regular and natural, because natural is something we have no control over,im talking about the universal natural, not whats natural to them or an individual.because thats not how the universe works,it has two energys, positive and negative,male-female...that makes it all work and tick.
 Quoting: nocty

Homosexual tendencies is a mechanism of nature to discourage over-population of a species. Look at how certain members of the animal kingdom are prone to over-breeding & over-populating themselves to the point where they deplete all of their available resources and perish. It's natural. There's a reason why it isn't just a 'human' characteristic. As tough as that is for some to accept. If there weren't gay people in this world what do you think our population would look like right now?
 Quoting: ANHEDONIC

do you know that the whole human population right now can all fit in to the state of texas with no problems.SO overpopulation is no issue, the world is huge and still relatively young. Its not natural,i told you,two forces in the universe, negative and positive. And everything goes by that, thats the nature of existence.I m not one of those that says kill all the gay people. Its just a retardation in my opinion.
