My Secret Doom Fear (Therefor, I Have Cancelled All Doom)

Travel with cars is so fast. It seems slow at times, but if we had to walk back to where we drove from, we would soon learn exactly how fast our cars really are.

My daughter's grandparents live almost two hours away from us by car... and my husband drives over 80 mph.

My greatest fear is that you all will get your doom... while my daughter is with her grandparents, rather than with us.

We went whitewater rafting this morning, 5 hours away by car from our daughter (she was with grandpa while we were there)...

So, do me a favor, k?

HAVE YOUR DOOM WHEN MY DAUGHTER IS AT HOME!

It was surprisingly hard on me to be 5 hours away from her by car. If something happened to prevent cars from running (solar doom! EMF doom! War! OH MY GOD!).... it would be so very hard to get back to her.


There shall be no doom!


By the way, whitewater rafting was really cool. It was my first time. The staff was great and it was a blast. A mix of 4s down to 2s and of course some smooth areas.

I recommend it!


(PS: Point of the post... a reminder to parents to have maps/etc. to get back to your kids, and a plan, when you're far away from them. Doom doesn't wait on our convenience)
