Until you have walked that road don't say it's not a mood disorder he will go from smiling to breaking your damn neck in 1.5seconds. It's nearly about like bipolar disorder but they have flash backs that trigger their mood change. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 41835152 Thanks, A marine wife. It's a reaction to trauma. I tend to find it makes people around me moody though. I hope you're getting therapy. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 19242093 After I submitted the test, a message popped up that stated: "Please call the national suicide prevention hotline or proceed directly to an emergency room" Yes, i got that, too -- and a 53 :) I do have to comment that "life on earth" is no picnic, and often seems to provide a lot of "gratuitous aggravation". But, then, the usual comments from the "enlightened" include that we signed up for this, at least, semi horror show, to learn "various lessons", which could well be true. In any event, as the testing site notes, regular exercise is a huge help i have found along with eating properly and a lot of "energy work" - meditation, yoga, Reiki, chi kung, etc. Good luck to all "fellow weirdos". BTW, i'm an INFJ, which makes up 1/2 of 1% of the population, and i would wager that the more "sensitive" one is the higher the score. Guess that goes to show that we are not to be happy and happiness is a disorder. Fuck you metal health doctors. Just because your life sucks and you got to find a reason, does not mean everyone else has the same problems. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 6004496 People who resort to popping drugs instead of dealing with LIFE are fking pathetic, and completely ignorant. It's people like this that make the elite fucking sick and want to go on a murdering rampage. You idiots are the zombie apocalypse. Brain dead, drug dependent fking zombies. well, sometimes people have a very hard time dealing with "life" and it leads to extreme difficulties with coping in everyday situations. i have severe mental health issues. i am a firm believer in not taking medication, so i have always gone the route of therapy. i did a really intensive group program for a year, and things are better, but still not ideal. so im waiting on a list to get into another program. but i really do hate when people are like "oh its just life, deal with it".. because no. for some of us, its a very serious issue. i have always had a wonderful life. i have no reason to have the issues i have... and yet i do. i work on getting better (without pills) everyday, but damn man. some people are just really, seriously, fucked up. they truly have a hard time coping with things that normal people do without any issues at all. Well I am glad that you're not stupid. But you cannot fix a broken leg by breaking the other leg. If someone has a tough time coping, you don't need to give them an addictive, life threatening drug that can make them go completely psychotic or drop them dead on the ground. Did you know that cocaine and heroin are A LOT OF FUN? Did you know that they can make you forget about all those stresses you have in your life? You're sad? Take some heroin. You're stressed? Take some heroin. Uncomfortable? Take some heroin. Got some anxiety? Take some heroin! There's literally zero difference. It's so funny that people fall for the jedi mind-trick of believing something is safe and effective, just because a guy in a white coat is pushing it. We have no trouble associating danger with a thug on a corner pushing heroin on the corner, but when its a guy in a white coat with fancy degrees on the wall, people just eat up everything that is said. It's absolutely proven over and over again that the absolute vast majority of drugs are not effective OR SAFE. Do people have trouble with certain issues, more so than others in the general public? Absolutely. Is the answer to chemically lobotomize them with mind-altering toxic drugs that can murder them? Are you kidding? |

As a former sufferer, I can recommend the tapping treatment. It really works. I tried it and it cured me straight away. I couldn't listen to the radio in case a song from the past came on and lots of other things like avoiding places etc. Now I am fine and my life has opened up again. I had the treatment 15 years ago and it has not come back. In the UK the government use it to treat the police and ambulance drivers. It is miraculous and safe. EFT is what I had. I went to a psychologist who was an expert in the treatment as it was quite new then. I had had counseling but it only treated the anxiety, not the flashbacks. I couldn't use the drugs as they made me feel weird so I had suffered for years. After a course of 6 one hour sessions it all went away. The first 4 sessions were diagnostic. Treatment only happened on the 5th session. The last session was just to check everything was ok. To any suffers out there I suggest they try it. There are videos on youtube. You really have nothing to lose and everything to gain. I will pray for your husband and you. pray to Jesus Note - not in India, in the UK, English born and bred! lol Not in Belgium either, I hoped a change of ISP to Plusnet would sort it out, seems not. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 69324738 Portugal 05/27/2015 07:42 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I would assume that people would already know if they're sad, anxious, or traumatized, but I guess it's useful if you want to know whether you would be "officially diagnosed." Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17786851 If you're feeling crappy you have every right to try to feel better, who cares if it's officially what they would diagnose or not? Diagnostic standards shift all the time. This short assessment is to simply provide the number that someone could give to their Doc who would then recommend formal testing if necessary. If I did score high on this, I would think that maybe I had issues I never really paid attention to, and probably ask for a real Mental Health Exam. DO you really trust your psychiatric doctor? |
