The man claimed he had sprayed himself with deodorant, but judging by the smell, it was probably some kind of insect repellant or RAID-type spray.

this hospital must be in a very high end zipcode.
ask the medic/paramedic/nurses etc that work for years in a ghetto area 911 receiving unit and you'll hear stuff ranging from those encased in shit to the point they thought it was a body cast under their clothes as the body odour was "normal" for their living conditions
to those doused in gasoline,doused in booze,piss,or aerosol black jack roach killer.....that were not set afire and those that were lit up etc etc

simply direct them to the shower and instruct them
