Anonymous Coward User ID: 18230679 United Kingdom 06/19/2012 01:42 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | why is the Glen Coe super volcano in Scotland rumbling? look at this link of recent EQs in and around the UK.. [ link to quakes.bgs.ac.uk] notice all four were 'felt'? seems a bit strange for such small quakes 4-5 km deep to be felt, but there you go. now look at WHERE they are popping.. [ link to maps.google.com] (yes, i know they're only small quakes. it's WHERE they're popping that interests me) ..and compare it to these maps, of Glen Coe. [ link to en.wikipedia.org] [ link to shop.xyzmaps.com] probably nothing, but might be an idea to keep this one in mind. Glen Coe is the site of a prehistoric vei8 eruption. [ link to www.glencoe-nts.org.uk] OK, i know it won't erupt, (well, i HOPE it won't, anyway) but the site of an ANCIENT caldera is rumbling? can't be good, that. |

[ link to quakes.bgs.ac.uk] a measly 1.4, 5000 metres down, YET it was ''Felt Ballachulish & Duror.'' to put that in perspective, the equivalent of 2.2 kg of tnt was felt at the surface in Ballachulish, which I suppose is possible, but also felt nearly 10 miles north in Duror? this one.. [ link to quakes.bgs.ac.uk] was apparently felt in Duror, 10 miles north of where it popped, 4000 metres down, yet it is tiny, the equivalent of about 250 grams of TNT i know the people reporting shaking were probably mistaken, but still, something isn't right about this. ancient calderas like this should be silent |

Is there any correlation with those locations and fracking locations? Makes you wonder if fracking operations could have been used to plant something that might trigger further earthquakes. |
