My father commuted 50 minutes to his work, where he was manager of the CAD department at Cummins. So, the cut down on expenses and response time to urgent issues, we got an IBM PS/2 PC with a modem and connection to the internet via the dial-in connection to Cummins' T1 in 1985. Me and my family have never been part of the 1%, but we had a PC and internet since '85. Maybe only 1% of the population had internet, but EVERYONE MUST GET OVER this fixation with 1% being attributed to wealth, power, and being one of TPTB. You are only spoon-feeding what they want you to think to yourselves. |
