YW. Thanks for thinking of the critters. I hate hearing and reading about dogs and cats dying from neglect. In some cases it's probably easy to find some compassion for the owner, but the majority just plain make me mad. Like leaving them in the car "for just a minute" and not worry about them because "the windows were cracked". Sometimes it's hard to know if people are heartless, or ignorant.
Was reading tonight about a woman who ran a rescue operation and she had dead dobermans in cages in her house that had been there for quite a while. There were pictures of some of the survivors and it was hideous. They were walking bones. Bad enough that anyone could allow it to happen, but a rescue? Can you imagine someone having to part with their pet because of the economy, maybe homeless and they couldn't afford to feed it and sent it to rescue hoping it would have better care, then find what happened to them?
Ashamed to admit I haven't kept up on the El Nino forecast. Is the forecast hot and dry? I see you had a farm report thread. Haven't read it yet but am going to. Won't get into it on this thread, but there's a dire situation brewing out there.

dire situation: see farm report thread, run the link video (original post) in the background and listen to what the official report said. i'm going to go into that again and see what is up for this week.
i believe people are going to be forced to move north. i am there now but may have to all go further, canada, i don't know. climate change has always put people on the move. that is how tribes appeared all over the world. tandym and others see northward movement, with intuitive insight. i do not see the southern hemisphere being a sustainable place much longer. i am doing what i can to keep up, we're in very intense times and i never would have thought it was going to get THIS bad. and getting worse. not to be a pessimist, but. all forecasts both scientific and intuitive say that NO models of possible futures come out looking good for the earth and humanity.
i also believe that THAT is exactly what the 'dimensional shift, spiritual vibration' hoo ha is really about: re-learning community, re-learning to care for the birds and bees, being able to let go of material possessions and former luxuries...all 'spiritual' attributes. we will be forced to face ourselves, and those who can trust and do what is needed will be the ones who survive. survival will depend on carrying forth with a new consciousness, i do not think that we can solve the problems we are facing and will face with the same solutions; the die-hard team america bug-outs, or the gangs and looters (etc.). these problems have been awaiting a different solution for a very long time, and the point of no return came and went like a meteor in the night.
i do NOT think that this consciousness shift is what most who await it are going to expect. it is going to force the whole new age mindset to truly look at itself, and i will be so glad, because at this point in my life if i hear another platitude i am going to scream. ;)
