But being a city gal---how do I kill them? I don't think I can do this. My husband grew up with family that killed their own meat but he's grown soft lately. I guess when one is hungry they will do the job. Right? My birds are lifers. They lay eggs for me for years and I can't kill them. If they were suffering, I'd have to, but until then.... An egg is said to be one of natures most perfectly balanced foods. They have all the protein, vitamins and minerals needed for good health. Except Vit. C. I'd rather buy some vitamin C or store something that's a good source of it, and eat eggs than to slaughter my girls.
