"Nalco provided Corexit at the express request of the federal on-site coordinators," Nalco attorneys wrote in the dismissal motion filed in May. "Nalco supplied a product that was and had been listed on the federal government's list of approved dispersants for decades and that the government repeatedly approved for use during the response." This is a compelling argument, because it is true: Corexit was listed as an approved dispersant, and it was what BP decided to use on the Gulf. The problem, though, is something we've covered here before: The federal government doesn't consider the human or environmental effects of the chemicals when approving them for the list. Companies like Nalco don't even have to disclose what kinds of chemicals are in their product in order to get them approved, thanks to the extremely outdated and industry-friendly chemical regulation laws in this country. Current chemical regulation laws actually makes it really difficult for the Environmental Protection Agency to do more than give these chemicals a rubber stamp. The feds told them that they could not use it, but they did anyway. Those bastards should have been arrested then. I don't understand why they aren't in jail already. Nalco, BP, and all the rest of them should have been charged before they could poison the gulf. I doubt that I will ever eat sea food from the gulf again. Raw oysters are one of my favorite foods, but I wont eat them until someone can prove to me the gulf is not full of poison. With the Pacific full of plutonium, there isn't a lot of sea food that is safe to eat anymore. Quoting: Epic Beard Guy John Titor agree's with you sir |

Within the surreal depths of "reality" lies the truth. |

Let those two parties figure it out. A few images of that, and maybe people won't be as ready next time to sell a bunch of toxic shit to someone else knowing where it was going and what it was for. |

It's time people grow up, and stop whining to courts, and other people to take care of problems for them. No one is going to help these people. They will die sick and be long dead before anything ever comes to light, then those responsible will pay perhaps a small fine for the price of their lives. It's a story as old as time, look at fracking, or anything else going on right now. |

Funny you should mention that cause remember what Obama did with the Seafood when all the markets and restaurants stop buying Gulf seafood after the spill? ...He bought it all and started feeding the US troops the seafood laced with Corexit which even USA restauranteurs and markets wouldn't buy...it's now being feed to US soldiers/troops! |
