I just got a new MAC BOOK PRO with RETINA (tm) display, don't ask me a question.

APPLE, EPIC FAIL

Thanks for the glamorous netbook, ruining the "pro" experience.

Reflections on my new Retina (tm) lappy.

1) It's so f$ck!ng thin because it doesn't have a f$ck!ng disk drive... Thanks for the glamorous netbook.

2) Do we really need to view ourselves in HD with a camera that turns itself on during setup to snap a shot of the initial user? That's just rude!

3) Sill including design flaws such as placing the only two USB ports on opposite sides of the computer so USB drives that require 2 ports are even less convenient and more problematic.

4) What the hell is this Thunderbolt sh!t? Do you really expect us "pros" to just replace storage solutions to re-archive our material on $500+ new architecture drives? Oh wow, but hey the ports are side-by-side on the same side of the computer, brilliant, who woulda thunk it?

5) You can't even add the nice circle, power-on button, you rips from the Mac Book Air design with a lame "chicklet" key? WTF happened to those nice matching keys on the lappies anyhow?

6) And you even drop the best design feature of the Mac Book Air, the nice cylindrical power attachment and fall back to flawed earlier designs. Hello? Anybody home? Leave the shop to the interns?

7) What, are you so embarrassed with your product that you can't even have the "Mac Book Pro" label on the front where it usually is, but decide, even, to hide it on the bottom of the machine?

8) What's that? Come again? Did I hear you correctly? No replaceable battery, but some integrated junk with a known end of life cycle in 2 years. What kind of sick joke are you playing on us? $2.2K disposable toy.

Go f$ck yourself Apple Inc.

9) Do you not think I remember the "mac.com" move to the pretentious and ghey "me.com" like any serious minded individual wants to be from "me.com" I was proud to be a "mac.com" member, but cringed and felt the need to make excuses explaining to my contacts that apple.inc had decided to change the domain on us and now you do it again, adding triple the combersome hassle of back end server changes upon the customer base. You even revoke their trusted chat certificates as evolved for years. Gotta feel good about that, right? You would do best to study the evolution of Star Wars Galaxies Online as run by Sony Online Entertainment. Lesson to be learned: You just can't screw the customer base too hard too many times without real bottom line impact.

10) Don't even get me started on how you have treated your higher end scientific-engineering-technical customer base. What you have done to the UNIX concept, how you have sandboxed beyond usability your less than capable application offerings… No, go ahead and read the reviews of customers who expect the apple quality assurance they trust and paid for with earnings, time, loyalty and patience. You have reduced software engineering to script madness and every "app" is nothing more than a damned widget written in HTML, Java script and CSS.

We may be loyal, but we're definitely not as dumb as you think we are.
