Solar Flare hitting San Francisco?

Last night- on July 12- I was out bar-hopping in San Fran and parts of the city were in the dark. The bar my friends and I were heading to had folks spilled out on to the street, as the bar had lost power along with the entire block. Friends later met up and verified that other parts of San Fran were out as well. I got home later on that night and signed on here and read about other outages throughout the state of Cali.

First question.

Were those outages a result of the solar flare that it arriving tomorrow?

Second question.

What should I expect tomorrow in the city? Any advice/ perspective would be appreciated.
