Why No [Church] Denomination Will Survive the Homosexuality Crisis
[link to www.christianpost.com]

There is no way, short of a miraculous and full-scale changing of hearts and minds, for North American denominations to survive the homosexuality crisis. Denominations like the PCUSA, ELCA, RCA, UMC, and Episcopal Church will continue. They won't fold their tents and join the Southern Baptists (though wouldn't that be interesting!). I'm not suggesting most of our old, mainline denominations will disappear. But I do not see how any of these once flourishing denominations will make it through the present crisis intact.

And the sooner denominations admit this sobering reality the better.

Hi FireySky!

I understand that the national conference of the methodist church was in Florida back around april [i think] and the gay agenda failed [from what i heard]. what makes you think the methodists can't fight this off?

This might lead to fewer religious people. Thank god.

I know it failed at that meeting, but the push for it will not end anytime soon.

I quit going to a Methodist Church cause they do some things kinda catholic and I can't go along with that. I was raised Baptist and then was Southern Baptist, so confirmation and Apostle's Creed were a little tough for me to swallow. Plus, they baptize by sprinkling frequently.

We took our kids down to the river and baptized by immersion down there. It was awesome. How can you just sprinkle a little water and call it good. The Holy Spirit flows over us like an immersion, not like a 'sprinkle".

Oh, No. This won't stop The Church. It will cause divisions and splits and you will have "gay friendly" fellowships and those that are intolerant and soon, it will probably be molatov cocktails through the windows of the intolerant groups church.

But, there are those of us who cannot, in conscience, go along with the LGBT thing. I was in Pflag once cause my sister thought she was a lesbian back in 2000-2002 thereabouts.

What has been seen cannot be unseen. I will never look at a Krispy Kreme donut the same way again, people. Nasty.

We know that certain 'churches' have fully bought into that agenda so i just hope that others decide 'not us!!!'

We'll see...
