Where are all the hurricanes?
With all this heat here in the US, you think we would have some gnarly hurricanes, am I right?

Re: Where are all the hurricanes?
I was thinking that earlier, they said early this year that it would be a record hurricane season. I think there has been 4 storms, 1 actual hurricane.

GLP EFFECT IN PROGRESS. Also are they EVER Correct.Forecast Busy storm year actually turns out slow, and likewise a forecast slow year can be devastating. Point in case: Local forecasters have no clue it seems here in Central Florida. Todays forecast was for a bit of rain this afternoon, It's been raining ALL DAY. I want their job.

It has been a bit quiet of late, after breaking all the Pre-July records for hurricanes. I believe there have been a few, but they were away from landfall areas... so they were not spoken about much at all.

I assure you... with the weather and heat the way it's been... THEY ARE COMING SOON.

Re: Where are all the hurricanes?
The La Nina in the Pacific creates a jet stream sheer that causes havoc for hurricanes in the Atlantic. We may see very few named storms this year. But it is hard to predict and the meat of the season is yet to come.

You are SO right! Where are they? This fact alone should tell you that our weather is being manipulated. It is REALLY strange that we haven't had one yet. The East Coast is WAAAAYYY overdue.

Dense Saharan Dust Travels About 5,000 Miles to Florida
Meghan Evans, Meteorologist, Accuweather.com
Date: 18 July 2012 Time: 12:18 PM ET

Impacts of the Dust
The clouds of dust are associated with large zones of dry air, which is an inhibiting factor for tropical storms and hurricanes.

The large zone of dust and dry air has been one of the factors in the recent quiet state of the tropics in the Atlantic.

Re: Where are all the hurricanes?
okay, i'll find a way to create 115 named hurricanes in the atlantic and have them all hurdling towards the united states and mexico :)
It is better to let the world go out of control so they can see their own fate just as I did 20 years ago
