Yes.

Precise and fluid control of movement through practice and grace...all the while losing self completely within it.

We do become 'ecstatic' during. It's fun for a reason.

Ec-static. hmm

Demographic-economic paradox

The demographic-economic paradox is the inverse correlation found between wealth and fertility within and between nations. The higher the degree of education and GDP per capita of a human population, subpopulation or social stratum, the fewer children are born in any industrialized country. In a 1974 UN population conference in Bucharest, Karan Singh, a former minister of population in India, illustrated this trend by stating "Development is the best contraceptive."..........

I don't doubt that there have been efforts in the past to reduce fertility.

However, it is the 'sudden drop' which concerns me. I am wondering if the 'invisible factor' is Corexit exposure.

It makes sense. To me...

And very sad.

Nearly all US states see hefty drop in teen births

The nation's record-low teen birth rate stems from robust declines in nearly every state, but most dramatically in several Mountain States and among Hispanics, according to a new government report.

All states but West Virginia and North Dakota showed significant drops over five years. But the Mountain States of Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada and Utah saw rates fall by 30 percent or more.

In 22 states, teen Hispanic birth rates plunged at least 40 percent, which was described as "just amazing," by the report's lead author, Brady Hamilton of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

What's driving the declines?

No one can say for sure.

Does anyone else remember? What that smelled like? What tasted like?

It was terrible. How? Why? FFS...
 Quoting: Seer777

I do. I remember it vividly. She always carried around that 'water bottle'. There was a specific one in the late 80's with this 'ribbed straw'.

She would freeze water in the bottom and then fill it for the day. I would tell her I was thirsty as she would hand me that.

The first time, I looked at her and said, this tastes terrible. I'm not drinking this. But she just kept doing it. For years. So I tried it other times. With the same reaction.

It was awful. One sip proved that beyond a doubt.

 Quoting: Seer777

The Human Nose Can Detect More Than 1 Trillion Scents

Humans have powerful sight and hearing. We are able to pick out several million distinct colors and almost half a million separate tones. But how powerful is our sense of smell?

A study from 1927 found that humans could detect fewer than 10,000 different odors, and for nearly a hundred years that number went undisputed. But now scientists have discovered that the human sense of smell is much keener than they ever thought.

Sight and hearing are easy to measure. Color, for example, is determined by the wavelength of light, while sound is made up of specific noise frequencies.

But smell isn’t just about being able to detect energy—smell is influenced by millions of different chemicals, each of which activates receptors in the nose differently. For example, the unique smell of a rose is formed by a combination of 275 different chemicals.

Andreas Keller, a research associate in The Rockefeller University's Smell Study, and his team knew that measuring every known odor-producing chemical would be impossible, so they selected 128 compounds in an attempt to establish the lower limit of the human olfactory system’s capabilities.

[link to health.yahoo.net]
 Quoting: Seer777

so what does that tell us, we are increasing our environments smell range and our senses are accepting the increasing smell range with no noticeable sign of difference to our senses doing so to ourselves
 Quoting: aether

I think it is telling us that we are developing more sensitive tests and ways, of measuring what was already there.

14 Foods You Should Never Eat

Diet Soda

Dr. Eliaz stays away from any diet soda or foods, sugar-free candies, and gum containing artificial sweeteners such as sucralose, aspartame, acesulfame K, and neotame, among others. "The safety data on these sweeteners is shrouded in controversy and conflicts of interest with the manufacturers of these chemical compounds," Dr. Eliaz warns. Re: X Marks the Spot

not since i stopped eating them
although a week or so ago i was odd because i purchased sushi without thought i no longer ate meat and was into my third mouthful noticing i was eating living things of flesh and experiencing their emotions while they are alive and i wondered how could that be because.......
then it struck me, i was eating flesh
it was very odd moments and i knew again why i stopped eating meat

strange

to put that into context it was not repulsive to my senses
it was sensitive to my senses as flesh has never been before and i prefer the sensation/experience of eating non flesh life than i do the sensation/experience of eating flesh life

it is a sensitivity thing for my senses it feels

What do we know of new experience?

Well. I don't mean that exactly.

I meant more of what I have heard regarding rather recently...

Perhaps because we made it that way. And accepted it therein...

Ever buy someone the perfect gift? Without them knowing of course.

There is something which occurs. A knowing. A 'how did you know'...

Several Christmas' ago I had this experience with my brother. When I saw IT, I knew...

When he opened it, he gasped and looked at me. Then said..You're a witch! How?...I wanted one of these. It's perfect.

It was both beautiful and tragic in the same moment.

I watched World War Z last night. Much about walls...

Wondering if the gap is just the pause between inhale and exhale, in analogy.

that could be the reason i stopped eating meat remembering i stopped eating meat last aug our of the blue, to me
so out of the blue i can only relate it to what was happening in aug and before that linked to aug
nothing else makes sense to my senses as to why
