Just want to drop in and give you a virtual hug

I am a single momma to two teenage boys - 15 and 17. We have had our ups and downs for sure! Life is complicated and messy and full of wonder. As long as you keep loving him and keep working on being the best mom you can be, it will all work out.

When my youngest was 13, he was in a space where he was being pretty hostile toward me. But something miraculous happened during that time. I managed to get him his own computer, and he discovered that he loved creating video games. (He's an artist.) Since then, he's taught himself how to program, and I encouraged those copious hours in front of the screen. He just released his first game into beta testing, and folks from all over the world are playing it! How cool! He has told me time and time again how he has appreciated that I saw his talent and let him do what he wanted to do, even though it meant overnight gaming and slacking on school work. He just got into a great arts school, so somehow it all worked out.

And it will work out with your sweet boy, too, even if he is more sour than sweet right now.
