Re: 5.7 EQ at good ole Pacific-Antarctic Ridge
I'm thinking that may be related to all the activity on the West Coast of South and Central America. This is a bit unusual to have that many quakes spread out along this area in such a short period.

I don't know if you caught it, but we had another series recently that ran from near the north pole, down the North Atlantic ridge also. The Indian ridge has been a bit active as well.

I've been looking through the seismos on this quake to see what effects it had. I noticed something unusual on the Tennessee graph. I'm used to seeing waveforms like this usually around volcanic or glacial areas.

Compare this to the rest of the graphs from that quake.

I'm not quite sure what is going on here, I'm going to have to go through the local graphs on this. Strange...

hi Earth,

hi MM,

That's why the call it Waverly, Tennessee.
Hehehehe. I have family near there.

Seriously those are some strange line or wave patterns. (whatever they are called)

I see you're able to use the Live Internet Seismic Server site now MM.

Re: 5.7 EQ at good ole Pacific-Antarctic Ridge
hiCassie,
Yea, I haven't had anymore problems with that link in a long time. I checked the regional seismos and there is nothing related to those signals. False alarm, it looks more like it was just a filter glitch at that station. Everything seems to be pretty normal in that area right now.

IP, I've already printed my Pmap and marked the critical areas for ref. headbang

cheers Earth, I didn't think you would mind if I posted stuff on this one here, rather then running a seperate thread.

Speaking of the P wave intersections, Now I've got to figure out what this was at Mt. Hood. This is from the same quake.
