Held the door open for a young man today as I was entering the milkbar first - so waited the extra 15 secs holding it open rather then slamming it in his face basically.

He just gave me that new wanko youth of Aust look and started texting on his ph. No thankyou, no slight smile - nothing.

Think i will let it just slam about the time they reach it next time ;o-

If you cannot find the reward inside, then nothing exists outside that can fill the void within.

You ARE the prize.

I would trip him first, then shut the door so momentum does it's job.

Some folks expect it. There is a term that ends in -bag that describes them well. They seem to be the exception. Most people just would like life to work. It's so easy. Put into the most basic terms "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Live by it and life gets real easy.

I do try (to do nice). The people I know though don't expect it of me, and you sort of get a "look", as if to say, "what's his game? What's he after?"

Understand that. It makes me smile when I get that. It's so simple most don't see it.

I like to do something nice for complete strangers when the opportunity arises (:

Not too long ago i gave a man with money troubles $300, knowing i'd never see it again. Everything helps.

Life got you down? Does reality suck? Forget it and just help the person next to you with their problem. It spreads quick.

I always do this. Sometimes the reactions are positive, mostly people just look really-really scared. Almost got maced by a woman because I dared approach her and asked if she wanted help getting things stowed into her car.
