At least 6 wildfires burning across Oklahoma!!! Evacuations in Cleveland Co., OK as significant wildfire spreads!!!

They have had drought conditions for a long time.

CLEVELAND COUNTY -
Multiple crews are at the scene of a wildfire in Cleveland County near Slaughterville Friday afternoon.
Firefighters say the blaze began near 123rd Street and Cemetery Road, and has now moved to 127th Street and East Maguire Road.

Several crews are on the scene. Some residents are beginning to gather west of 120th Street.

Two helicopters are dumping water on the blaze. Crews have closed Maguire Road in the area, as well as Red Rock Avenue closed at 120th Street while they battle the blaze.

Emergency managers in the area have issued a fire warning from north of Etowah to south of Maguire, west of 120th and east 132nd Street. They are asking people to evacuate west of Ettewa and west of Maguire.

According to the Freedom Hill Fire Department, the fire expanded from 1600 acres on Thursday to 6400 acres on Friday.

Authorities told Tulsa's Channel 8's crew on the scene at 5:00 p.m. Friday that the fire covered a 10-square-mile area.

The fire started at 151st Street and crossed Highway 33.

Due to winds from the south, it began moving north towards 101st Street South Friday afternoon.

The Oklahoma National Guard was called in to assist with helicopters.

My prayers are with our neighbors to the North. It's hot all hell in this part of the country. I can't imagine what it feels like trying to fight a fire in this heat!

LUTHER, Okla. -

Residents living south of Northeast 220th Street, north of Northeast 150th Street, east of Luther Road and west of Pottowatomie Road should evacuate toward the city of Luther as a fire that began Friday afternoon continues to burn, according to officials.

The worst hamburger I have ever eaten was in Mannford. No loss to Mannford if that rip off burger joint goes up in flames. I took one bite of that burger and spit it out. I have never had food that bad, and the service was lousy too. I feel bad for Mannford though, it sounds like the town is getting hit real bad with this.
