Baby Boomer Appreciation Thread
In honor of my parents, here is a thread where Baby Boomers may come on and tell us what makes them proud of their generation and what things they wished they had done, but weren't able to accomplish.

No flaming the elders, I will boot you.

I appreciate that my parents gave birth to me and loved me the best they could. I also appreciate the support my parents gave me with my children and helping me to raise them by babysitting frequently and occasionally paying my electric bill.

and I would like to tell the Baby Boomers that you will be missed by some of us in Gen X. I miss your parents too. Our Grandparents Generation were some tough cookies also. Miss them and wish they were here to talk to.

Well, geesh, I guess nobody else is feeling the love today. Maybe the Boomers are busy as well. I'll try again later.

Baby Boomers invented robots to do the hard, dangerous work of manufacturing. Then they invented financialization and taxation of everything the Sun can see, so that we would have jobs to keep up off the streets and a way to impress the opposite sex.

They also made sure the globe was hundreds of trillions of dollars in debt and derivatives to make sure the stupid generations that followed didn't go all ADHD and give up on the plan.

My dad is a baby boomer. A real genious, he goes to church every Sunday. He loves the USA and thinks there is a good side in war. Thinks anyone who believes that 911 and the Kennedy assasination was an inside job is a kook. What's not to love?

My family runs throughout the entire "Baby Boom" period. My oldest brother was born in 1947 and I being the last was born in 1964, after the war mom and dad got busy. They're both turning 87 this month, and have lived a full life.

Re: Baby Boomer Appreciation Thread
Well, there are some things that the children of the Boomers take issue with, there are plenty of things to approve of about this new generation of elders.

1. The Majority of Them were Heterosexuals.

2. They may not have been good at marriage, but they got married anyway. Some of them even waited for marriage to have sex.

3. They worked their asses off. The boomers were a generation who worked long and hard just like their parents.

4. They were the first generation to feel the trap of the financial Ponzi Scheme set up before their births come crashing down on them. Many of them have lost their retirements or had to choose between life and insurance payout for their families. Not an easy choice, btw.

5. They worked to advance technology. Didn't the Boomers love Space Science and Medicine. They worked really hard to advance the Sciences, even if many of them did stop believing in God.

6. Those who did believe in God taught their children about God and loved Him.

7. They did the best they could to take care of their elderly parents while still being saddled with teenagers/young adult children of their own.

8. They have endured the dismantling of the Industrial Sector of the United States and a change to "service" jobs instead of manufacturing. I don't think this was the Boomers choice.

9. They probably are the last bastion of social morality that is left. I fear that once they are gone-these current young people who are mostly Godless and arrogant haters of The Lord and His Word will destroy this once Great Nation entirely.

10. They hated Communism.

Yes, The Greatest Generation were Awesome in that they didn't use Birth Control(see chemical abortion of their own children) and they refused to allow mechanical abortion. They did have lots of children and they raised them all. They had their failings too, for sure, but having babies-they did that really well.

Re: Baby Boomer Appreciation Thread
well, if you were to ask me, the Baby Boomers are the greatest generation every lived ... and we're not finshed yet, because it seems there is no one to take up the torch of freedom and peace

not only did we create "new" music, and comfortable clothes, but we tried our damness to get back to nature ... and to return to the values that made america great ... an honest days work, deserves an honest days pay

we STOPPED the GOVmt from sending us to wars to fix the economy ... no one else has ever done such a thing

we made you aware of the Fluoride, Clorine, and now chemicals in your drinking water ... we made you aware of Monsanto attempt to genetically alter you with food and chem-trails ... we told you that you couldn't trust the vaccines - we brought back the barter system, and conquered racism ... we made chiropractors and naturepathic medicine main stream ... we brought cotton back and got rid of the ironing board ...

and we loved our kids with all our hearts ... perhaps too much, but considering the circumstance of the times they were born in, I think they did pretty well ... its their kids that suffered, because most of them were considered secondary to a career ... and their childhood was a shuffle between day care and work, so that their parents could provide THINGS for them, when all a baby needs is food and love ...

Thank you for your appreciation though... we did what we could and are still doing what we can, but they killed off a lot of us in Viet Nam ... and many more sold out to the system to provide for their kids ... our one big mistake was to ignore politics ... but there are still enough of us who care deeply about what is happening now ... and we are retired now, so we have plenty of time to sort it out ... and it looks - to me - like if we don't, it won't get done, because our kids are too busy and our grandkids to lazy to focus on Global consequences of their apathy.

Clearly the earth is underpopulated. All these resources and nobody to use them. Such a shame, we really need to come up with a plan on how to have more babies.

I'm proud not identify with generations because they do NOTHING to describe people on an individual basis and serve only to create more division among the populace.

Whatever floats your boat.

Who do you think is running the country these days? What age demographic do the politicians on Capital Hill and the CEO's of our major corporations & financial firms belong to? Who's running the Federal Reserve????

But never mind those details, it will be the 'current young people' to ruin the country!

lmao

Re: Baby Boomer Appreciation Thread
Well, first of all, The Earth is No Where Near Overpopulated. As a matter of fact, this country has room for another 300 Million and I would prefer them to be naturally born American Citizens. Unfortunately that satanists have convinced everyone that having children is a bad thing, an irresponsible thing and killing them is a good thing. Ass Backwards and Perverted.

Secondly, we are even designated "generations" in the Bible, so I don't think it's too far off to discuss how the generations are doing. The Boomers had their faults, but they were children who knew that when they disobeyed, they were going to get an ass whipping and that they deserved it.

This current generation of 20 somethings were raised during a time that people couldn't spank their arrogant, snot nosed brats and those kids don't think that there are any consequences. They are going to be in for the rudest awakening that an American generation has ever known. It's so sad, but swats on the butt-even with a belt-did more good in educating the young than all the textbooks in America combined. The Boomers knew this as did their parents and respect was expected and rudeness was swiftly punished. The way it should be.

Now, kids don't know that when they have children-even out of wedlock-they have entered into "The Line of Elders" and that the responsibility is lifelong and will effect your situation in eternity. When we die, we get to see the effects of our choices and decisions-actions and inactions play out and it is too late to do the right thing. But this generation wants to chose one child and kill another with impunity. There is no such thing as impunity. You will be held personally accountable for it by The Lord God Himself. You think a butt whooping was bad, you have no idea. That's why the elders spanked, to teach the young that there are serious consequences. Now, we have a generation with no manners, to whom nothing (save marijuana) is sacred and who don't give a thought to the future. It's beyond sad.
