Anonymous Coward 08/07/2012 08:30 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | How come taxpayers have to support the Olympics, but they can't share videos of it? Taxpayers pay billions of dollars to pay for the Olympics. But if anybody tries to show somebody a video of what happened, it gets deleted. Obviously teevee companies have paid for "broadcast rights". But does that mean they actually OWN the Olympics? Taxpayers have paid a lot of money too. Apparently all that taxpayer money doesn't mean much at all! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 8245865 I find the fact that the UK is having austerity shoved down their throats while the government footed 18B/20B for the Olympics more interesting. I have been meaning to start a thread about it, but I just have not really had the time to put a good one together. |
