Since WHEN do cops take someone to a HOTEL for questioning!? And, WHO'S paying THAT bill? This stinks to high heaven. I don't care WHAT the banker did, when cops become hired goons, or begin to take the law into their own hands - WE ALL HAVE A big big BIG problem!!!! Those cops need to spend time in JAIL PERIOD! |

Perfect win for freedom fighters without having to do anything. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2960850 THIS IS THIS “One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 14465788 They were waiting for the dead hooker delivery but it was taking foreeeeeeeeever. this has to be L.A.S.O. ( Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office ) cops wearing L.A.P.D. uniforms - fits quite snugly into the dirty rotten scoundrel LASO deputy modus operandi for more than 50-years and runnin'. U.S. Department of Justice ( DOJ ) Federal Bureau of Investigations ( FBI ) Civil Rights Division will have yet 'another field day' on this. even more taxpayer expenses. no-win situation for the little citizens ( taxpayers ) 'cause the courts will be bilking them on this as well - let's not forget the lawyers. fact of the matter is, it will all be swept under the rug long before mainstream news ever gets such a story rollin'. Smartest man in this thread. To be honest, initially, I would say screw the banker he deserved it. But the second we, as a people, allow things like this to happen, we open up doors that should never be opened. It will only be a matter of time before this type of blatant thuggery becomes a norm. Then all it takes is a little fake evidence and everyone is as guilty as this banker...catch my drift? And dont say this will not happen because it will. I see this as one of those situations that gets turned on its head. This stinks. I want to know every thing about the banker, and I want to know every thing about the cops. There is more to it than two cops beating up a banker. So, if the people have to pay for this, make it count. |

It is not traditional police anything to take custody of someone and put them in a hotel to beat them up. Traditionally, you have to be a low income repeat offender to get beaten like that, like Rodney King. Or is low income a street beating, and big money gets a motel room? What is a bankster doing there? What is douche bank foreigner doing there? These guys, even a vacation is work. |

Quoting: FatalW1shes First beating somebody in custody is bullshit...but it was a banker..... I'm having issues with this. There is a lot more to this story than being told. Sounds like crooked cops..... And a banker got his ass beat..... Damn. Media relations you dumb shit, not a banker. Read the fucking story all the way through |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1432351 United States 08/13/2012 09:42 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I hope the cops lose A powerful honcho at Deutsche Bank is suing the LAPD and the City of L.A. for millions of dollars -- we're told up to $100 mil -- for allegedly being forced into a motel room by cops and then beaten to a pulp. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 16764710 Brian Mulligan, the Managing Director and Vice Chairman of Media and Telecommunications for the Bank, claims on May 15, he was in the L.A. suburb of Highland Park -- near a marijuana dispensary -- when he was approached by 2 LAPD officers. We're told Mulligan claims the cops walked up to him and asked why he was in the area, and then proceeded to search both him and his car. Mulligan says the officers found a large amount of cash in the car -- thousands of dollars -- and then put him in a police car and drove to a nearby motel. We're told Mulligan says the cops told him to stay in the room until they returned. He claims he waited several hours, but the cops never came back. He says he felt he was being set up to be robbed or killed, so he made a run for it. As he ran out, he says cops were right there and began beating him mercilessly. Mulligan says he was taken to a hospital, where doctors treated him for 15 fractures to the nasal area, a broken scapula, and severe facial lacerations to a point where he "barely looked human." If they would have wanted the cash they just would have taken it. There's a hell of a lot more to this story. If there was no phone in the room it was either a flop house or a setup. I've dealt with the LAPD quite a few times. Fair, honest, respectable? Good luck. Only out for themselves. (the bullet tattoos are NOT just a story. They're real, I've seen them, and talked with cops bragging about them) Sitting outside a motel room waiting for what? German accent, seems "high" on something, load of cash, hotel room, street cops, broken nose... Sounds like a script for a bad, low budget B movie plot. Or maybe they're like me and have a hard time trusting anyone who wears a suit and tie to work. Not everyone, but most. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 20006444 United States 08/13/2012 11:00 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The guy had a large sum of cash on him. The cops were looking for a way to silence him and get the cash. The motel was their "attempt" to do so - probably hoping he would fall asleep or something. These LA cops are so stupid they can't even come up with a plausible lie. Yeah, right! They took him to a hotel!! Let me tell you - in LA anyone who can manage it lives in Beverly Hills or Santa Monica or West Hollywood. At least BH and SM have their own fairly decent PD's and WEHO uses the LASD under contract to provide police services to the city. If they don't do a good job, the contract does not get renewed! The LASD is VERY polite to residents of West Hollywood when they have contact with ordinary citizens. |
