I actually thought this when i first heard there was a hurricane down there. I stayed in Tampa's Waterside Marriott for a week, got back a week ago. (My balcony gave us a direct view of Tampa's Convention Center, where the RNC is being help, i saw a ton of people there for the pre-convention throughout my vacation). Anyway, there was somewhat patchy thunder storms, which is normal for this time of year, but ironically as soon as I leave, right when the RNC is actually starting, a hurricane comes, which will easily turn away many people from attending.
