After the blast, there will be radiation from: 1) Radioactive Iodine for 8-16 days 2) Radioactive Strontium for ~58 years 3) Radioactive Cesium for ~60 years If Plutonium 239 is released, there will be radiation for ~244,000 years. The radiation will be ALL PERVASIVE, PERMEATING EVERY ASPECT OF LIFE ON EARTH, or what's left of life on Earth. Plants, animals,... the entire food chain will accumulate the radiation and develop mutations. If not directly inhaled or transferred though human skin, humans will uptake the radiation through food and water. Almost the entire human species will develop cancer and die. |
