Why do you say they are phoney? I've heard good things Quoting: High Plains Jester I miswrote. Binaural beats probably exist. But the 'brainwave entrainment' (self-hypnosis, induction of various sleep states, whatever) promised by them is hokey. |

I can see that, but I feel there is something real that could be gleaned from them. No self hypnosis mumbo, but I've found meditating on different frequencies and such have their benefits. |

I guess whether they work or not, it seems to be working for you, so might as well keep going and see where it leads you. It's all in your head one way or another, I guess. Sorry if I came across as harsh in my original posts. |

So I can concentrate on the combined wave... That's why I'm looking for a program, so I can create my own combinations. Oh have you tried Gnaural? No, do tell |

I didn't see this until now, but I have worked with devlopping Binaural beats in the past. I used adobe aduition to do it. There are two basic things you need from a program. The ability to generate tones, and the ability to manipulate sterio channels with those tones generate. Then if you work in the ability to manipulate the tones generated with echo effects and such other effects that too is great to work with. |

It seems like it would be difficult to master, but I have the time to learn |

It seems like it would be difficult to master, but I have the time to learn Quoting: High Plains Jester In my opinion VERY! There are those that think very limited about BBs, because they are not musically minded. That is because the range of the binaural beat frequencies can seem limited, but not really when you listen and look a the varrainces between the left and right sounds. Then when you place one echo in on one side and another complementary or contradictive effect. I played with it for half a year, but then i moved on to other intrests. I actually picked up the latest version of the softward by adobe, but there had been several changes that would have required more tweeking. I plan on getting back into it. There's a whole musical tendancy to it. Too is I have a very acute ear and I am very sensitive, and i noted there were a good number of uses for such differing uses of a wide wide range of BB sounds. |

Very nice :) I'm excited to start playing with these as I too am musically inclined and sensitive to frequencies. If you don't mind me asking, what were the other projects you moved on to? |
