As usual, there are those who love to spread fear and hysteria. I live very close to the ocean, so will be watching this closely. I swear, someone is trying to get all of our energy on doom and destruction. Our thoughts, boys and girls, are very powerful!

Downed trees are going to take out power lines. power going out in such a massive area is going to cause strain on all the other states that supply or LOAN power. People are going to get caught again without food in the house or water or meds. People will DIE you heartless bastard.

It seems to me that there is a hell bent to literally drowned the east coast.

I hope that people heed this warning.

Bullshit, I just uploaded photos with proof of 3 separate models with this scenario. So far I have found only the GFS on a different scenario.

Does that news source list the actual models? Here I will.

CMC - Brings the storm in Early Monday.
ECMWF - Brings the storm in Early Tuesday.
NAVY NOGAPS - Brings the storm in Late Monday.
GFS - Has the storm offshore.

How many damn models would you like me to pull up lol. There are only so many. The Japanese model is hard to find. (JMA). If someone has a link to it I can take a look at that as well.

I've been watching this thing for a few days now. The NE was NOT "lit up" like this just 3 days ago....so somebody knew something was coming to fire it up like it is now.

Ya it's not good. the GFS has been showing this storm since the 13th of this month. I'm a weather bug like your self

Ok, calm down. I live in Florida and we get an occasional storm. Here's what you should do:

1) Super clean your tub, then fill it up with water - don't let anyone use the bathroom. Now you have a source of water.

2) Freeze a couple of jugs of water - makes for a nice air conditioner when the power goes out.

3) Get the cars all gassed up, plus fill up the lawnmowers and some cans. You want a lot of gas in storage.

4) If you don't have a barbecue with a gas grill for frying, get one now. Plus buy a couple bottles of propane - nice to use to cook when there's no power.

5) LED lights and lots of batteries for them. No candles - they burn the house down.

6) Dry foods. Bottled water (at least 10 gallons).

7) Iodine - cuts happen.

8) Wet wipes. Sometimes the power is out so long the toilet quits working and, well, use your imagination. Oh, a shovel too.

9) A 12 gauge shotgun with double-O buckshot. Just in case.

10) Garbage bags - lot of them - the kind that seal up tight. Stuff can get to stinking if it doesn't seal up tight.

Now, when the wind hits, the kids may be tempted to go out side on their bikes or skateboards with umbrellas and get blown along at 50 miles an hour - they will ruin your umbrellas - let them take a few garbage bags for that.

Same here. Anyway the GFS has this storm developing, just not up the coast. Most other models are screaming the bad scenario. Washington Post is full of shit.

Well, my psychic dreams have kicked back in, and I'll tell you what...I was swimming for dear life, everything was flooded and it wasn't looking good. Of course I took advantage to try and catch a huge lunker that had washed ashore, but again, it was very doomy.

Mainstream weather forecasts aren't forcasting any rain over the weekend....

It's no problem, Im just saying they are wrong based on what I am seeing here. Many models are on this scenario so I dunno what they are talking about thats all. Anyway, I am kind of in its path. I would be on the northern edge of the storm if it pans out. Not a direct path but close. I am in Ontario.

Nws has my part of Texas getting some Canadian cold air starting on Friday this week,lows in the 30s/highs 50s.

At least OP isn't saying it WILL happen, only that is possible. Hell, anyting is possible.

Means a slow buildup in change. Probably resulting in high pressure.

I just hope people around here will get what they need before this hits. Last year when we got that storm around Halloween , everyone freaked out and it took you about 3 hours to get gas, that's if there was any left. Some places didn't get there power back for 3 weeks. Lucky for us we never lost it, and if we did I have a generator. I'll keep posting up on this if I see anything new coming in.
