Going to the denist for the first time in 6 years...

You shouldn't wait to go every 6 years. You might have more wrong than you think. I haven't been to a dentist in years either. LOL!

I love Little Shop of Horrors.

cruise to GNC, grab a couple bottles of clove oil, get Q-tips, pour clove into a small cup. Dip q-tip and dab it all around your pain areas - you will love it instantly. after about 60 seconds it can burn - rinse with water, repeat until pain is mostly gone, smile that you know how to kick your teeth pain's ass now.

I went through a few stretches where I was moving back and forth between different states/locations and didn't have dental coverage, so didn't go to a dentist for two stretches of about 3 years.... Both times when I returned to the dentist I did not have any cavities. I only brushed once a day too, never flossed either. Then the dentist and his assistant would give me the lecture about how it's imperative to floss everyday, brush 2x a day, and to come back every 6 months for check ups... They've ingrained in us that we need to go to the dentist every 6 months and I absolutely don't believe that it's imperative to do so. I think it's more so about selling a service of an industry than anything else.

similar story to mine. i had to go to get a tooth pulled out. it was sooo painful. i went back again and they cleaned my teeth.

the real problem was them wanting to use mercury fillings (which are free on our nhs, how kind) and the dentist going on and on and on about flouride. it was like a sales pitch.

not going back there thats for sure.

Oh, best thing to do when going to the dentist is bring an mp3 player + headphones. Listen to music while they work on your teeth. It distracts your mind from the unpleasant experience and drowns out the sound of the drill & suction tube, lol.
