The engravings translate to "This space intentionally left blank." The prayer is inscribed in an ancient script, rarely used today. It seems to be a philippic against small insects, absent-mindedness, and the picking up and dropping of small objects. The gate is open; through it you can see a desolation, with a pile of mangled bodies in one corner. Thousands of voices, lamenting some hideous fate, can be heard. The way through the gate is barred by evil spirits, who jeer at your attempts to pass. |

Yep. Wonder if something else is going to drop on Benghazi? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 21277120 [link to www.washingtonpost.com] ZAGREB, Croatia — The Obama administration on Wednesday renounced the proclaimed leaders of the Syrian political opposition and said any group seeking to oust President Bashar al-Assad must reject attempts by extremists to “hijack” a legitimate revolution. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said the Syrian National Council, or SNC, should no longer be considered the “visible leader” of the opposition. That made official what has been the increasingly obvious sidelining of an opposition group led mostly by middle-age Syrian expatriates. Why would they do this less than a week before the election... why leave a big opening for the republicans to attack through. Either, Hillary is taking a shot at Obama... or they expect something to happen before the election and they need cover. Have a nice day = GFY. GFY = Go Fuck Yourself. Few have noticed a crucial meeting that took place during the recent Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) summit in Tehran, between senior Foreign Ministry diplomats from Afghanistan, India and Iran. Their ultimate goal; a new Southern Silk Road connecting Iran to Central and South Asia through roads, railways and last but not least, major ports. The crucial Silk Road port in this case is Chabahar, in Sistan-Balochistan province in southeast Iran. Tehran has already invested $340 million to complete 70 per cent of the port construction - a decade-long project. But with US and EU sanctions biting harder and harder, Tehran expects Delhi to come up with a closing $100 million. India has already invested $136 million to link Chabahar to Afghanistan's ring road system. One does not have to be Alexander the Great to notice the fastest connection between Kabul and India would be through the fabled Khyber Pass. But that does not take into account the accumulated historical venom between Islamabad and Delhi - their constant promises to increase cross-border trade notwithstanding. With Chabahar linking Iran directly to Afghanistan and India, in theory Pakistan is sidelined. But it's much more complicated than that. All eyes on Eurasian synergy In theory, Washington won't tolerate its allies Kabul and Delhi not pushing further into isolating Iran (which is not isolated at all, as NAM graphically attested). I definitely agree that creating a power vacumm by pulling our interest back would net us a better future...but then the trade wars would start between us and China, among other allies we depend on. Our comfortable consumers here in the states would be hit hard, but I think it is what we need to do, let someone else dominate the New Silk Road, get our factories, resources in the states back online, and pull back. we are at a crossroads-we are either dominate in the resource and consumer war or we pull back and become economic protectionist of sorts which will hinder large corporation growth abroad. |

Yes. And how bad would the trade war be with China? They could engage in economic warfare against us, or make a play with their military for physical possession/control of resources that don't require naval power. I think they would opt for that road...they have too large an infantry to pass that up. And we could make it beneficial for them, short term. After they exhaust themselves for a few years, then we could send the Calvary in and take what we need. The engravings translate to "This space intentionally left blank." Bring back the American Entrepreneurial spirit...use our own resources (both energetic and agriculture) to keep ourselves afloat and independent. I wish our 'leaders' felt the same way. But they chose to enslave us and poison us instead. The engravings translate to "This space intentionally left blank." The prayer is inscribed in an ancient script, rarely used today.
