The title of this thread should read something like 'British SAS Soldier vs US Recon Marine'. Recon Marines are not special operations nor are Force Recon Marines. A Force Recon Marine is more akin to a Royal Marines Commando. A Recon Marine would typically receive less training than Force. Obviously a different breed of warrior and mindset from the Marine than the SAS Soldier. One can also assume top tier warriors receive more intensive hand to hand training that can be beneficial and adapted to a fight like the one you posted, for instance. With that said, I'm sure the Marine gave everything he had.
