Man arrested for buying 150 gallons of gasoline for neighborhood
He "collected money from his neighbors, bought gas at a Valero station in Orange and planned to bring it back to his neighborhood, where they had no power and gas."

But he wasn't using proper containers, so I guess that is why he was arrested. They also arrested the gas station attendant for letting him.

Gosh, heaven forbid the government from letting the people help on another.

Unless what the man was doing was extremely dangerous (like putting gasoline into cardboard milk cartons or fish bowls...

The gasoline was confiscated and returned to underground holding tanks. (Even though it was paid for.)

Gasoline is classified as a hazardous material. There are very good reasons for the regulation of it's storage and transport. This man and the service station were endangering the public.

What's bullshit? I was a firefighter for 30 years and fully appreciate the reasons for the regulations. Gasoline transported in that fashion is extremely dangerous.

That guy was an idiot.
You should only use approved containers for fuel.
Nothing like 5 gallons of gas spilled in your garage.

Meanwhile across the street nobody gives a fuck

But a guy carrying a few gallons is just way too risky he should have been executed right on the spot.
