Riots started! I think that now that elections are over we'll start seeing the first domino's falling. Troika report coming is super-doom, not much have been done regarding reforms by the political system here, they were negotiating the new terms for 5 months now, don't think that anything can stop it from now on, only thing in question is if the collapse will be a controlled one or not. Quoting: insertfunnyusername I'm not much of an economics guru, can you elaborate on what exactly is the difference between a controlled collapse and an uncontrolled one ?! The PSI and haircut on the Greek debt was considered a credit event and an orderly default. The disorderly default will be a default that no safety mechanisms measures will be in place that could lead to the cds triggering and the domino effect. Compare it with a controlled demolition of a building vs an uncontrolled one. OK I see, it's all about those damn CDSes ! If they ever allow those to trigger it's bye bye Europe ! |

Riots started! Give me your honest opinion Insert ! Do those people protesting in the streets have any chance of actually changing any of the government's policies ? Cos we've seen a lot of protests in Greece over the last 3 years and to be honest they didn't accomplish anything, the austerity measures are worse than ever ! |

Off course they can't change anything, if the forms of protests were more organized maybe something could be done, but i doubt it man, there is a script to be followed imo, average peoples can't change shit as things stand without things getting violent, which i think it will at some point, when TPTB are done with the current political system here they will throw them out and feed them to the people. Won't happen before they done with them though. |

Riots started! The ECB is not likely to cut interest rates at Thursday’s council meeting. The focus, as is often the case, will be on the press conference. Here two countries will likely dominate the discussion Greece and Spain. In recent weeks there seems to be greater disagreement among the Troika on how to address the obviously unsustainable Greek debt burden. The IMF says the official sector should take a haircut, but not it. The ECB refuses to, citing legal constraints, as a loss could be seen as a subsidy/transfer to Greece. That leaves the EU and individual countries, but Germany is steadfastly opposed to any official sector losses. Riots started! Live from Athens [link to www.zougla.gr] Torchia was born in 1620. He was apprenticed in Leyden under the Elzevir family. After returning to Venice he published small works on philosophical and esoteric themes. In 1666, Torchia published De Umbrarum Regni Novem Portis (The Nine Doors to the Kingdom of Shadows), which was in turn based on the Delomelanicon, or Invocation of Darkness, a work supposedly written by Lucifer and that would allow the reader to summon devils. The Inquisition condemned Torchia for magic and witchcraft and burned him at the stake in 1667. |

Riots started! We'll see at midnight, more than 6000 cops mobilized, it won't be easy, i think that they will try to break the protest before the voting process will start with the usual agent-provocateurs, can't have that many people outside the parliament. PS GLP is very very slow these days, pisses me off! |

Cos we've seen a lot of protests in Greece over the last 3 years and to be honest they didn't accomplish anything, the austerity measures are worse than ever ! I hope they increase 1000 times their efforts and never sit down, but are the biggest thorn in the annanuki's side they can be. On another note, everyone keeps saying, the Supreme Court is nothing. They are the supreme safeguard and are above the government, the LAW. They topple unlawful legislations, and overturn bad decisions by government. And it would mean a rogue, unlawful, government exists otherwise. Treason. The Devil tries to convince everyone he doesn't exist. The state tries to convince everyone they cannot resist. Do not go quietly into the good night. Rage Rage against the dying light! |

And soon they will do the same with the rest of us ! Banksters will do that for sure, but the article says about the Greek elite, including politicians that moved their money to secret Swiss bank accounts, huge scandal, pretty much most of the politicians moved their money there when the crisis started! |
