EQ? Gas Explosion?? Something Just Shook Houses In Indianapolis!

My cousin lives right where it happened. He said a plane or something idk. Its on co. Line and sherman.

It was a house that exploded, sorry for leaving that out. He will keep me updated

I'm East of that over on Franklin & Southport. That seems kinda far. Does he know that for sure??

He told me to get over there and then called and said yhey had sherman and co line blocked off. He can see the house and everything. There is also an airport right there. Im waiting to hear anything else. But no, no doom.

Please report back. My daughter says people are saying there have been explosions downtown too and to stay home. Unconfirmed. I only know about the one I felt at this point.

He said it was multiple houses. Idk exactly where though i apologize for that. Dont know what what actually caused it. And i didnt know about any other explosions either.

INDIANAPOLIS - Firefighters are battling a large fire after an explosion was heard for several miles on Indianapolis' south and southeast side late Saturday evening.

The explosion happened about 11:10 p.m. and could be heard throughout much of Perry and Franklin Township.

My daughter is far more popular than I and now reports that a plane hit several houses over where AC is saying and all exploded, roads now closed, etc. There is ALSO still a report of perhaps an unrelated gas explosion downtown, but, hopefully, yeah, doom off.

We have a report of an explosion on the city's south side near the area of Sherman Drive and Stop 11 Road. Several callers report hearing a loud explosion in the area. Also, fire dispatchers report several house fires. One WTHR employee says she saw metal debris falling from the sky. We have several crews on the scene and will have more information when it becomes available.

GAS EXPLOSION COMPLETELY DESTROYS HOME.

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - 24-Hour News 8 has received word of an explosion.

The Indianapolis Fire Department says there has been an incident on the 8400 block of Field Fair Way and Towhees Drive.

Dispatchers say there was a gas explosion on the south side of the city.

Our crew at the scene say one home has been completely destroyed. Two others homes have been seriously damaged and are burning. Other homes in the area have also suffered damages.

No word at this time on injuries.
