So true! Incredibly sad and horrible what "liberalism" has done for them.

Sad too that I was a diehard liberal until about 2001. Green party all the way for 20 years until 15 years ago.

I'm probably still a liberal by most definitions. I think of myself as independent, I support me and mine and I also work with underserved populations. I'd rather see my tax dollars go to feed hungry kids in my neighborhood or the elderly than to bomb the shit out of other countries to get their oil. I raised kids to be problem solvers (homeschool ftw!) in this world an am astounded at the changes they are making. I have pretty much equal opportunity disdain for the 'leaders' I have seen in this country during my adult life. The cool thing is, if you are off grid and grow your own food, the less dependent on their laws you become. Barter is a wonderful thing. It's all good.
