Okay sorry but you all have to hear this.

So you all know my wife is very sick right?
Well she went to the doc again today and during the questionnaire over the CV19 shit when the wife said no they checked yes and when she said yes they ... well you know.

Stay frosty
Thanks for letting me vent today.

Re: GLP-Jukebox
Hey Antitech, did you ever eat lunch at Murphy's pub in Champaign on a Friday?
They always had this song on the Jukebox

 Quoting: drinking buddy

Damn I drank a hell of a lot of beer in Murphy's. Don't think I ever had food when I was there. We always had beer money but skipped the food part. Now Friday lunch was The Deluxe, the pool hall for fish sandwiches with beer. Weird cause I drank beer in campustown when I was 17, visiting my older brother. Then I drank when I was 18 in college myself starting in '73. The drinking age lowered to 19 that year or the next but it never mattered. The only bar in C-U that carded and wouldn't serve me was the Rosebowl in Urbana. Home to Sunny Norm and the Drifting Playboys. The house band and owner. Played a mean steel pedal guitar. Swear there was sawdust on the floor for dancing. Hope you went there--was on Race St.

I didn't go to that place on Race st, but I do remember a little bbq joint that was only open Fridays in college town, kind of a hole in the wall, and take out only, vinegar sauce. Sometimes there would be some guys playing blues when you went in to pick up your bbq. I think the guy served it on wonderbread with a side of fries. lol

This is my playlist of bands I have had a drink with irl.
Honest, I wasn't a groupie or a musician or a tech or security, just pure dumb luck.

These guys kicked a 15yo girl out of their hotel room party for being 15 years old and not smart enough to lie about her age.

There was Porgi's with the best bbq in the whole world, I swear, on the corner of Race and University. There was a house in Champaign that had like 3 booths in it, only served on Fri and Sat nights, no liquor license, but it was the same deal--slice of white bread on the bottom and the top. Got to go in the back and do some shots with the grand master once--total honor. Husband goes back to the Vet school some years for continuing education. Always brings back rib tips from Porgy's and a couple qts of sauce we freeze and eat later. And a half cooked Papa Del's pizza to freeze. Illini Traditions.

the original version Crowded House never did it for me, My favorite was always the Sixpence None The Richer cover, the other two were complete nonsense
However while not listed Lauren Daigle did a great cover as well
I think DDIO is one of the only songs in the world where I can't stand the original but the covers are great

Nice! I mostly get annoyed at the covers my kids listen to..of songs I loved when I was their age. But I do like some of Nouvelle Vague's and a few other bands. This one is good!

How ya doin tonite ac?
