Mezzo, very cool the way you told the whole story. I thought I was in so far over my head, but it's like you said, nobody is above or below another here in JST.

Think I have grown up a little bit since then. We can hope.

2012. I remember that year not only for the Mayan Calendar and all the End Times predictions, but also on a personal level. It was the year our printing company at that time got transformed and split up in two streams. One for magazines and one for retail printing.

Over here in the Netherlands we were very fond of using English words for almost everything, especially in business. Of course the usual four letter words gained popularity, but I remember it because we named our production streams Business Units with newly appointed Business Unit Managers, or in short BUM.

And in one of the columns I wrote for our company magazine I mentioned the uncontrolled use of English words in the Dutch language. I wrote: So, let's imagine you are the Manager of the Business Unit and you have a meeting with very important English clients. You put out your hand and enthusiastically say: "Good morning, I am the bum of this organisation."

Well, that escalated quickly... They at least never used that abbreviation again.

But it can be worse. A Dyslectic animal activist who demanded to ban the word "meatings" like in management meatings..

Even at that early age he was hyper conscious of how technology was transforming the relationship between artist and audience in ways that were unimaginable. His comments from this interview from the late nineties have aged like fine wine... the interviewer's like milk!!!!
