ha ha ha, no the mazda I had was a 4 cylinder. But Jaso had an RX4 and it sounded like it could rev to the moon and back, he had a radar detector in it too. jaso was a motorcycle copper in his 20's he joined qantas when he was 24, lots of coppers changed to flight attendants. I knew him for 3 years as I worked frankfurt airport.

Yup 4 cylinder but rotary, not trying to be a dick. Yah, they could wind up sounding like they'd throw EVERY rod through the hood! But some cars, like that, are built for that; it's how they get their power. Some engines, like my truck, rely on breathing and displacement and hitting 6k rpm is a hard stretch for these blocks

I had a little blue fun top one, sadley a drunk ran into us at traffic lights and squished it with us in it. it was then Jaso said fuck this, were going to live in Australia. been here ever scince and love it.

Jaso also had a corvette he brought back from the states, it was a fuel pumper. the first time he took me for a ride in it, we dragged a Porsche from lights to lights, the vet jumped like a frog through its 3 gears, jaso stood on the brakes telling me look back at the Porsche. left it for dead we did. then jaso said look at the fuel gauge. from full to a quater tank left. it was black with red leather, the flat back window kind. he sold it for a lot of money, got us into our first home.

Good man. My 67 Mustang got T-boned by a State Trooper in Minnesota. I was exactly 16 at the time, that Mustang was another car we all restored together FOR my birthday. Tow truck driver laughed and said I was just another notch on that Trooper's steering wheel, he'd wrecked so many cars before that. Concussion sucked, but replacing and repairing my left rear quarter panel, door and glass on that side and up front sucked more. Least I didn't have to sand just primer and paint, hard matching it though, was all marble blue with metallic flecks. Got it to match though.

Eventually sold it for $35k in the early 90s. Shouldn't have!

So yah. Go where you are safe.
