the only phlox i've added to my under-a-willow experiment of a perennial bed so far is a variant dubbed 'bright eyes'. P. Paniculata, to be specific of sorts, but before a pic of that...

i was walking down the field, looking for little things a couple weeks back, and spotted a bird perched not paying me much mind or bothered by me walking by. he (or she) didn't make a peep, and the pictures were kind of weak, despite having in mind to branch into birbs as subjects for quite some time...

on my way back home, the birb was still on the same perch, but squawking like crazy as i walked by this time, and to not much surprise as i stopped to see, in the moments i'm most quiet, he or she decided to show off a bit, and so i finally have what i think to be one decent wild, free birb peek
