For someone with ichthyphobia I really thought Jacques Cousteau was pretty cool.
Quoting: drinking buddy I can remember as a child watching his show at the weekends in the 1970's DB <3.   Same here. Documentaries on Cousteau's travels around (and BELOW) the World's oceans.. How many kids became oceanographers or even took Oceanography because of Cousteau shows on TV .. ? My cousin did just that and worked/studied at Woods Hole for a few yrs back when.. He certainly gave me an interest in marine life Grey Eagle <3.  I'm sure he inspired quite a few to take up them professions.
