Back in the mid 80's when I was a vet tech at the U of I Vet School, there was a primitive wildlife ward. Dog and cat kennels--very primitive. But my partner in crime and I used to go over to check out the Great Horned owl in residence. We were like inches from him. He would bend over, spread his wings and clack his beak at us--pissed. Oh but those eyes, those eyes!!!
