Dog and cat kennels--very primitive. But my partner in crime and I used to go over to check out the Great Horned owl in residence. We were like inches from him. He would bend over, spread his wings and clack his beak at us--pissed. Oh but those eyes, those eyes!!! Here's one for Sseess. Best in full screen. |

User ID: 76539470 United States 02/23/2021 04:46 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | oooh, a snowy owl! I've only seen one of those a few times when I used to live in WI. Beautiful! I really should try to sleep for another hour or two before my next 12 hour shift. It's so great to see everyone! User ID: 78212475 United States 02/23/2021 04:47 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Holey crap! This town and county goes crazy when there is an eagle or hawk or owl rescue. Folks have to come from Peoria from a sanctuary and transport any birds. I can't even begin to explain how nuts it gets but they are wonderful. Bald Eagle called Trooper was hit by a car on I 55 and they got him all fixed up. There was a huge release with a lot of people in attendance. Pre covid I think. We have had some big guys in our yard--one on a basketball hoop (townies) and one that landed on the handle of a snow shovel. I was looking out at night and the shape of the head, the size of the owl and the height of the shovel handle all came together to look like there was a man standing there. I'll take what ever we can get around here, lol. Ricky is that you with the ten foot legs and bell bottoms??? got me smiling again. |

That was all in 11 days. YOUTH!!! Oh there was more but I'm giving him time to decompress. Good to be here with you again. And M too and A/C s also. Last Edited by antitech on 02/23/2021 05:25 AM |

Sounds great to hear that he had fun and an interesting adventure over those 11 days. I take it that he avoided much rain and/or snow during that time? Did he hike up to the waterfalls in Yosemite (like I usually do)? :fireplace: "Remember when we used to treat colds and flu with chicken soup, saltwater gargles and warm tea instead of Communism?" |

I have these ideas but the best I can guess is it's a volatile relationship. What do you think if you want to explain to me. Hello aether!!!! I actually meant to post this one.
