Re: For the first time ever, I am truly afraid
May this bring you to where you should be, read it slowly and think as you read. You are strong and ready my friend.

Go placidly amid the noise and haste,

and remember what peace there may be in silence.

As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.

Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others,

even to the dull and ignorant; they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexations to the spirit.

If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter,

for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.

Keep interested in your own career, however humble,

it's a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery.

But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;

many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself.

Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love;

for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment,

it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years,

gracefully surrendering the things of youth.

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.

But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.

Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.

You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars;

you have a right to be here.

And whether or not it is clear to you,

no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive him to be.

And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life,

keep peace in your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world.

Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

Re: For the first time ever, I am truly afraid
"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom."

"Men's hearts will fail them for fear of what is coming upon the earth."

The first kind of fear in the first Biblical quotation is to be sought with all your strength and spirit. The second quotation shows a fear that is the result of our hearts going cold because of all the evil that is the world.

For even the strongest of us, this is a daily battle and Satan is hard at work trying to prevent you from seeing the first and foremost kind of fear--fear of the Lord and the wisdom it brings in its train. Satan WANTS us to fear and he wants us to fear EVERYTHING. He does not want even a sliver of light reaching us because it spoils his plans. As insane as it sounds, he thinks that he can still win. If we judge by the world's standards, it would appear that he has already won. Confusion and perplexity rules the world right now. These are Satan's tools right from the garden.

The "pearl of great price", the "hidden manna", the "buried treasure" in the field can usually be found in no other way but by adversity, price, or labor. It is "free", but not without cost--much like what freedom is. It cannot, by searching, be found out--but we must search with all our hearts. In order to live to it, we must die to it. In order to gain it all, we must give up all. We are a pain-avoiding, pleasure-seeking species. We have to "embrace the pain (fear perplexity, confusion) and avoid the pleasure that we so often equate with "peacefulness". The very things which bother us the most are usually the things that the Lord will use to bring you around to HIS wisdom. We don't truly listen unless it bears deeply upon our "condition".

By contrast, the "church" of the last days are called Laodicea--lukewarm, increased with goods, and in need of nothing. These will be SPEWED from the mouth of God like vomit. It is a far better condition to be HOT or COLD. These the Lord can work with to bring them around to His Wisdom. The lukewarm knoweth not that they are wretched, poor, blind and naked. One group knows not their condition, and the other knows all too well what their condition is. There is very little hope for the first group and all the hope in the world for the other.

Jesus tells us that "in the world you will have tribulation, but I have overcome the world". He didn't just overcome HIS world. He overcame OURS. That was a very hard lesson to learn. I didn't believe that He could change this "old man"--the lost, confused, perplexed, unholy sinner that I was. He overcame it all and literally blew my mind when he did. The wisdom of God. What a pearl!! What a treasure! What peace, assurance, and hope.

"Fear God, and give GLORY to HIM--for the HOUR of God's JUDGEMENT has come. WE ALL feel God's judgement coming when He will perform His "strange act" of casting all sin, suffering, and death into the Lake of Fire. The whole creation made anew with not one thing to mar its beauty and holiness. Every heart beating as one--one heart, one mind, and one purpose--to be forever at one with our God. I long for it and I know you do too. Be at peace dear sister. God really, really loves you--bat and all.
The TRUTH is stranger than FICTION.

Re: For the first time ever, I am truly afraid
Nothing fancy,

All the fearmongering, all the troubles the world is facing is coming to a climax.
It sure looks that way to me, but it does not mean planet Earth is going to crack like an egg and we will be gone, I think it means something, after all, somethings got to give.

Its scary now, the way things are, the uncertainty. I get scared sometimes. Other times i feel at peace.
I think most of whats going on now is nothing more than fearmongering to lower our vibrations to the point where we crack. Terrorists arent even mentioned much any more. No need to do that.
Our one and only terror now, and its GLOBAL, is "THE END OF THE WORLD" the ultimate hand they are playing to subdue us.

I have family, kids and i'm concerned, i wont lie to you. But i do not think this world is going to end. I can tell you with certain certainty that TPTB will MAKE THE MOST OUT OF THIS CHAOS. Something is bound to happen...something big, like an Antichrist. the NWO, slavery.

I think given the choices, under which development do we suffer less should be our question right now. Its the end of the world "As We Know It", not the end of the world.

Anyway, just trying to express some thoughts...You are not alone.
God help us all.hf

Everyone living today shares the same curse which says 'May you live in interesting times.'

Well Sir, with all of the tumultuous events, unease and just plain evil afoot, these are indeed interesting times.

Re: For the first time ever, I am truly afraid
I don't know what it is or why but I have an anxiousness that I cannot shake. While part of me believes nothing will happen in the next few weeks, another part of me is worried and nervous.

I am a tough broad, haha. I have faced many trials throughout my life.

Some that I look back on and wonder, what was I thinking?

Like the time my oldest daughter was being bullied and 15 girls showed up at my house to "confront" her. I ran out onto my lawn with a baseball bat ready to swing at anyone that attempted to harm her. Needless to say my psychotic behavior that night paved a better road for her at school because no one wanted to mess with the girl with the lunatic for a mother.

I faced sickness, almost losing my home, raising my girls alone, and countless other scenarios. It is life, nothing spectacular and nothing that no one else faces. But I faced it head on, never backing down and with no fear. I believe in God, heart, body and soul.

I am afraid. I don't know what to expect and I don't know if I have done enough in my life or helped my girls enough.

I mean that's what it is all about, right? Doing for others. I hope I have done enough, I hope I have taught my girls so that they have done enough. I hope I haven't wasted too much time because for once in my life, I am afraid.

Re: For the first time ever, I am truly afraid
I am actually a member at a few other forums, and many of us are having really bad feelings like something is going to happen and soon. Many of us found ourselves preparing for God only knows what, the good thing is I always prep for the winter months so me just buying some extra things and adding it to our winters supply doesn't really make much difference but its like the closer we get to whatever it is the stronger the feeling gets. Still we don't know what it is but we all are preparing for something and just don't know what it is. Its like God is telling us to be ready.
 Quoting: pmb1

That pretty much sums up how I am feeling.I always get more for the winter months because if it comes a big snow or other bad weather event I am stuck at home for at least a couple of weeks so I have to prepare for that anyway.
But I have added extra lately.Like today I decided I needed more prepared foods on hand, etc and ordered more for delivery next week.
I have about stopped going to physical stores because each time I do I see someone doing things they shouldnt be and peoples strange actions concern me.
For some reason I am feeling like shortages will get bad very soon and prices will rise very fast compared to before.
Then there are other times that I feel like it may all be over in afew weeks and no need to even bother thinking about it.
So my feelings vary from one degree to another depending on what it feels may happen.Troubling times for sure but I am making most of each day now and thats always good.

I ALWAYS buy a diary/planner months before the end of the year. But I haven't even thought about getting one yet.

I am feeling mostly hopeless and doomy – not because of earth changes, but because of what I am learning as I research more deeply about health (I have known all the conspiracies for quite some time).

Because of what has been done to food etc., (GMOs, nanotechnolgoy, excitoxins killing brain cells) plus vaccines, technology (computers etc) I do believe that the humans on earth are doomed to extinction if something super miraculous is not done.

But, something good is coming.

As one glper put it so brilliantly - God is going to hit the reset button.

Hey buddy...you are the one who is in the wrong place! Why bother even being a part of this thread if you don't like it? There are many threads to be a part of, go pick on another one.

Miss Fancy is genuinely afraid, as alot of us are. What is wrong with giving each other positive messages, and discussing our fears?

To Miss Fancy: We are only human...we make mistakes, sometimes the same ones over and over, but eventually we get it. We are not perfect. We love our children, and we protect them fiercely. It is good to be afraid, but not good to be so afraid that it renders you immobile. I, like you, cannot shake the feeling that something is going to happen. I have prepared with extra food and water, candles, iodide pills in case of major solar flares, and a bug out bag in case the need to leave the house quickly arises. We ALL need to stick together in these times to make it through.

Thank you for the pin.

Thank you to everyone that has replied. There are some extraordinary responses. I haven't made it through all of them. I had no idea I would receive such support.

One thing I do want to point out. I am in no way narcissistic or seeking attention. I apologize if I came across that way. They aren't good qualities to have. I guess I just wanted to express what I am feeling at this moment. Based on the responses, I appear not to be the only one that is apprehensive.

Thank you all again!

Encouraging and comforting verses for troubling times.

Isaiah 41:10 "Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."

Matthew 6:25-33“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

Psalm 46:1 "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."

Nahum 1:7 "Yahweh is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble: He knows those who take refuge in Him"

Psalm 55:22 "Cast your burden on Yahweh, and He will sustain you: He will never permit the righteous to be moved."

Isaiah 40:28-31 "Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God (Yahweh), the Creator of the ends of the earth, faints not, neither is weary; His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint; and to him who has no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall; but those who wait for Yahweh shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint ."

John 16:33 "I have told you these things so that you would find comfort in Me. In this world, you will suffer; but be courageous, for I have overcome the world!"

Revelation 21:1-4 "And I saw new heavens and a new earth, for the first ones had passed away; and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, that is, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And then I heard a great voice from heaven, which said, ‘Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they will be His people, and God Himself will be with them, and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there will be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither will there be any more pain, for the former things have passed away."

Deuteronomy 31:6 "Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 "So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal."

Isaiah 46:4 "Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you."

:footrfootp:
