Iranian navy is one of the largest in the world and the largest naval force in the middle east. The 2 Iranian navies operates operates 1,500 warships and around 10,000 smaller attack vessels and some 100,000+ attack boats.

The major classes are 25 submarines (3 ultra advance heavy Tareq class attack subs and 22 smaller stealth attack subs), 4 destroyers (2 are newly Iranian made ones), 4 frigates (1 new Iranian made), 5 corvettes (3 newly Iranian made) and over 1,400 other classes of warships mostly Iranian made. There is plan of Iran's first heavy Cruiser being under development.

Iran has made its navy into 23 fleets.

Iran having the world 4th largest missile arsenal and 3rd largest Cruise missiles force. Also having possibly the largest armed forces in the world with around 13 million active personnel (including the paramilitary) and some 7 million reservists.

The IRGC navy operates 10,000 armed and attack vessels of various sizes.

IRGC NAVY AIRFORCE operates the naval attack version of SU-25s (the same aircrafts that scared away the american predator drone)with antishipping capabilities

Iran currently is estimated to have enough Cruise missiles stockpile to sink and destroy the entire US navy 100 times over.

Iran currently is among the few countries with cruise missile capabilities of upto 3000km range and also among the very few with the capability of operating long range UCAVs.
