Etc) Then you contact a TC - A training counselor that is certified to train instructors. You will take the instructor course with him. After finishing that course, You will get your credentials in about 4 weeks. Honestly though, there are tons of decent shooters out there that think they can be instructors. The simple truth is that this is a teaching job, if you are not a good teacher, this isn't for you. Being a good shooter is secondary to the ability to effectively teach. I am thinking about going Kimber, I love them, but might go glock, just because it is much cheaper to shoot. Quoting: Patrick Bateman I already own a 22 revolver and a 380 pistol, the 45 is next on the list. GLOCK (excepting 40SW) if your serious, Kimber if you are into hobbies. If you fuck up in a hobby you can fix it and try again.....if your not into hobbies but self employed, GLOCK. Hate the ugly plastic bastards, but life is precious. I carried the Glock -19 in Iraq and Afghanistan. It never let me down one single time. It might be ugly but GLOCK’s wok and they work well when you need them to. “Once A Marine Always A Marine” |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 21795357 So my question is, barring being able to get the CCW permit, what is my best course of self defense? The area I am going to be attending evening classes is known to be quite dangerous. The campus has also have not implemented adequate security measures. I’ve saw them mess up to many times in the past and cause a Major malfunction. When you’re talking about a CCW handgun you need something that you know will fire every time. You're shitting me? The XDS, XD and XD-M are bar none the best semi-automatic handguns you can buy. I have run literally and I am not exaggerating... 10's of 1,000's of rounds through all flavors of XD's and have had a total of 1... I repeat 1... jam that was caused by a mis-shaped shell. (Russian Ammo)... As far as the Action... the XD and Glocks are nearly identical other than the additional safety built into the TANG that a Glock does not have. |

Many consider it as a plinking round or for varmint hunting, yet ballistics tests on these hollow points have shown similar expansion and penetration to a .38.
